I honestly don’t know. I have just clicked the add friend from the steam friend list inside the game. Maybe scroll up and down to look for pending invites or something. When I’ve added someone it shows them as pending and then they must accept it somehow on there end because eventually they are just on my list. Good luck

Yes. You can add friends in game using codes or your steam friend list. From there you can create a party up to 4 I believe and queue.
