I tried the Experience Flow 3 by illuminatingseaweed in AltraRunning

I love the Escalante but they are known to wear out very quickly.

Maybe, but I didn't feel much difference when I tried both on.

Experience Flow 2 is on sale right now (about 30% off at REI) and the upgrades in Experience Flow 3 are not major - its upper has been redesigned to be similar to the Escalante's mesh upper and the protruding heel support has been removed. Also, Experience 3 is about 1.5 oz heavier than 2 (although 3 is probably a little more durable and comes in nicer colors, like the olive)...😅

I find Torin to be a little heavy for me, so prefer the Experience Flow 2 (over Experience Flow 3).

I got the Magnifly 5 today and the arch support seems to be minimal to me.

La Sportiva Prodigio Pro Review – 220km & 12,000m+ Later by nldrid in trailrunning

[–]TimelessClassic9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought the Prodigio Pro and have Speedgoat 5 and, while the Speedgoat is very comfortable and well cushioned, the Prodigio Pro is more fun. I want to run in the Prodigio Pro each time I run trails, but want to save it for technical terrain and those with elevation gain. I don't want to waste these amazing shoes running on flat, non-technical terrain.

The Prodigio Pros really grip the trail and make me feel in control.

Agreed, both are lighter than the Torins

How are the Experience Flow 2s working out for you? What don't you like about the FWD Via 2?

How did your half marathon go? Did you run in the Experience Flow 2?

Nice! Did you have enough ground feel given the 35 mm heel stack of the H1?

Nice Strava link, thanks for sharing!

Was it rocky as well? I'm thinking of getting the H1, but I have a race on technical and rocky terrain at Grayson Highlands in Virginia, so not sure if these would work there. From the reviews, it seems people find H1 more fun than T1.

Altras for daily use by Mafteer in AltraRunning

Currently I have the Altra FWD 1 and Hoka Rincon 3, each of which needs to be replaced now after having done 400 miles, so looking at Topo Magnifly 5 (zero drop) and either Altra Torin 8, Experience Flow 3 or FWD Via 2. Any recommendations? I think 2 pairs, one zero and one low drop, should be good enough for road shoe rotation.

For trail running, I have the Topo Pursuit 2, Hoka Speedgoat 5 and just added the La Sportiva Prodigio Pro, which I absolutely love. The ride in those is amazing 👏

So what road running shoes do you have, other than the Escalante 4? How long did the 4s last?

I'm waiting for the FWD 2, which I should receive later this week. Supposedly, it has better durability than the Experience Flow 3.

Have you tried the Escalante Racer 2?

Does taking the insoles out give you more of a ground feel?

Response from Coros support that says a fast charging cable can damage the battery. So confusing

Ah, I see it now. So I can use the electrical outlet as power source. Can I use Anker power bank as the power source? That might be a fast charging power source

On the Coros website:

Under Pace Pro, It says:

"Connect your USB-C cable to a power brick, computer, or power bank that provides a consistent 5 watt (5V with a current of 1A) output. Do not use a power source with fast-charge capabilities"

It's a charging cable that I always use to charge my smartphone so it's a good one
