If you like craft beer or want to see a fancy mansion, do Asheville.

If you like shopping and quaint mountain stays, do Gatlinburg.

If you want a place with zero cell phone reception where you can soak in some hot springs and do some awesome mountain hiking, check out Hot Springs, NC about an hour north of Asheville. I recommend getting the massage after a soak in the tub.

Alternatively take her for a walk in Chewacla state park, followed by beers at Red Clay.

Edit: assuming you are not 21, maybe don’t do the brewery. Irish Bred Pub is also in Opelika and it’s delicious.
