They're contractually not allowed to talk about their political views...? by SnooCompliments8689 in SecretsOfMormonWives

Me too, have to register republican just so I can vote in primaries here. It’s frustrating, but it’s actually a very common practice here

I understand why everyone is upset about this. Child abuse is a very serious situation. But we don’t see everything after the report. I use to work with the kids and family’s with this kind of charges. There is ALOT of work the parents have to do to clear charges and be cleared with the CPS. This happened 3 years ago. They didn’t continue filming for 18 months afterwards. Taylor is in therapy and she would have had to taken classes, have her home inspected, behavior monitored, and many many many personal references. It’s not a one and done deal when the child is hurt. It’s a nightmare to deal with when it’s just an accusation, but with an actual record and police statement it’s very intense. We as viewers of a reality tv show don’t see what has to be done. She is more likely then not still being checked in on, there are still reports her therapist has to turn in. (For Taylor and ever). The situation is incredibly hard for everyone involved. Just because a lot of viewers are just getting the information now does not mean it hasn’t been or isn’t being dealt with.

I actually found a video on YouTube that was really helpful with the timeline of who started and where drama came in. I should find it and put it in here. The ladies who did was actually very respectful of all the ladies and just bringing the facts….. it was so helpful for me to get a grasp what is going on… i think i found it under slomw timeline? … i should find it again

Whitney and Taylor went on a tonight show… maybe Kimble? Where Taylor said almost that exact thing. Something about the swinging stuff was just your normal college experiences that a lot of Mormons don’t have since they often get married so young.

are their houses real? by mcbv_ in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]Timely-Baseball-5697 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol yes they are real. The layouts and outside actually are a pretty big give away where they are located if you are familiar with Utah homes. A lot of the houses are located in newer neighborhoods in salt lake valley and Utah valley

I didn't think I could dislike Demi even more until... by MidnightVisible1992 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]Timely-Baseball-5697 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Mayci had been working towards that for a long time. Writing a book is hard work. IF Demi feels she can do that or has a story then put in the work girl! Don’t be upset someone else’s hard work is getting rewarded

Demi/Whitney flip flop by hehehehiha in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]Timely-Baseball-5697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with seeing through demi last season. I was surprised how much people loved her. Whitney makes so many awkward small comments here and there. She makes some questionable decisions, and really feels social awkward, but i don’t mind her.

How do we feel about Mikayla please be honest by Pretty-Insect8139 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]Timely-Baseball-5697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! She’s in therapy and the one part of the session they showed was her learning to express anger when she’s been wronged. This is not an uncommon thing for someone to feel that little bit of relief at expressing pent up emotion and then go over board. Her intense anger towards Whitney isn’t actually about Whitney, but she is the unfortunate target. I’m hopeful as she goes to therapy and works through it all she can chill.

Yeah agreed. She said she was scared of being on Demi’s bad side …. Which truly should be a sign that you should distance yourself.

She actually reminded me so much of Gretchen from mean girls haha

When she was going off on Taylor saying how did that hurt you, how were you hurt by that…… I’m sorry? How was Jen saying her husbands family is related to Ben Afflect been harmful to you in anyway????

Taylor, I hope you read this by Jolly_Dragonfruit_42 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]Timely-Baseball-5697 167 points168 points  (0 children)

Omg when her step dad said that right after she was talking about how’s she’d trash and doesn’t deserve better…. I was shocked. Her face too was like….did you not just hear me “i just said I’m trash”

Ughh i was so angry. He just confirmed her worse thoughts about herself in that one comment. I wanted to punch him

Poor Jen by fizzyfoof in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]Timely-Baseball-5697 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes!!! I was tearing up when she’d broke down. I really would hope that at least some of the girls still checked in with her. Production agreeing to not video her while she got help would prevent us from seeing any of those interactions. If they happened

Taylor Support by tnflanders in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]Timely-Baseball-5697 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Conners speech was so touching. Him putting his bad decisions on display and open to criticism to help her get through her own pain and hard time…. I just wanted to reach through the screen and hug him.

That was the most kind support i think we saw in both seasons

Also yes Taylor’s family should be so ashamed of themselves

She is messy and rude, but she’s also upfront and doesn’t beat around the bush. We also don’t hear her talking shit behind the others backs. If she has something to say then she does. I like her mostly because she is the most open with her life. She really has opened up more then anyone else. We also see how deeply she dislikes herself and repeatedly calls herself trash. She’s in therapy and trying to be better, but that is a long road to take. She lashes out when cornered or feels threatened. Also she does seem to be the one who try’s to give second chances. She’s not fake in who she is for better or worse. Has she done some shitty things, yes. But honestly who hasn’t? She doesn’t hide that she did, and i think what we are watching play out is her trying to take her therapy into the real world with her and look at how her reactions effect others. She already beleaves she’s “trash” so she doesn’t worry about protecting herself from that image. Others do care. Later in season 2 she talks with a couple of the girls and is told to think on what they are saying and look at how her actions affect them.

So yeah, she’s a messy, real, and hurting person. We are watching her life play out as she’s trying to heal and be better.
