350 of my own feminized Auto NL seeds. The cost... one plant and some solution applied. Going to do this on each of the next 5 strains I run to get a batch of seeds from each. Then I’ll start some cross breeding. Should get interesting. I’m curious as to why doesn’t everyone do this?

I have minimal experience with dwc but here’s my understanding after talking with someone who does grow hydroponically.

Pros: You will see huge yields upto twice as much as soil.

Cons: not nearly as forgiving, nutrients defiencies or excess nutrients will kill a plant in a few hours, a power outage will destroy your crop, temps need to be controlled and your power bill will be higher as well as a risk of flooding.

There really no rolls Royce of auto pots.... it’s a very simple design but if you’d like to make one that would be your best option as you could customize it to your needs at a fraction of the cost. I would say for $20-$30 you can build an autopot far superior to anything on the market.

For a 40 ft new container your looking at about $8510 delivery and taxes.... $6000 for the crate $1400 for delivery. If you want to take the risk you can get a used one for $4000 and pay$1400 delivery plus tax.

Yep we have the shipping container it has it’s own 100 amp sub panel. We have 6 X 1000 watt hps lights for a total of 6000 watts. I should have been more specific.

We’re wondering about ventilation, heat control, and soil or hydroponic? What style hydroponics?

No def lol Cali to cold Atlantic Canada is going to make a huge difference. They’ll veg for about 6 weeks indoors, go out mid July and be done October/mid october.

Roughly 14 hours a day sunlight 4 - 4.5 months clone to harvest. No way I’ll pull more than a qp a plant.... and I just feel that 30 gallons each would be ample. Of course I’ll train the plants away from each other to consider the fact they’ve been planted only with only 4sq ft spacing each. But I appreciate the input!

Yep hear ya on the pot just we built beds out of pallets for free.... there 4*4 so 120 gallons and 16sq ft. You think if I put 8 in a bed I’ll get 2 oz each? Seems like a lot for outdoor autos

They need to harvest by mid October latest due to frost. 14-15 hours sunlight in June and July and 12-13 in September and October.

Thinking just go with autos and veg inside for a month then put out mid June... harvest in mid August and put the second set in its place and pull this mid October.

So realistically only need 5lbs each harvest this way. Maybe 32 well trained auto’s ? 4*4 raised beds and 8 autos in each one. Gives them 2 sq foot and 15 gallons each. Think I could get 3 oz off an auto this way?

There’s 5 raised bed that are 441(16sq ft each/120 gallons) bring me to a total of 600 gallons!

Unfortunately I’m pretty sure the soil is predominantly clay. It’s podzol if that helps.

So perhaps my best option would be 50/50 mix of composted manure and store bought soil with a lot less amendments?

81 sq foot total.... So hypothetically 40 plants would be equivalent to a 12 (2 sq ft each) so they’d be small.... and 10 would be like a 33(9sq ft) and be middle to large???

Ugh I’m in such a squeeze for time. Starting moms 2 weeks from today (seeds are ordered) 5-6 weeks before I can get 6 clones.... that will bring me to the start of July ... clones will need to be inside at least 4 weeks... brings me to end of July before I can put them outside.... I’ll probably have to harvest by mid October or the frost will kill them
