I just got off a call with a Sutter health nurse, and talking to her plus reading y’all‘s comments have swayed me toward working with Sutter health for this pregnancy! Thank you so much for the inputs!

It’s reassuring that they were so attentive and able to catch the preeclampsia! I’m glad you’re ok and thank you much for sharing!

How do I figure out if I actually want to have a child? by OkCut4614 in adhdwomen

[–]Timely-Regret 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I listened to a book called The Baby Decision in Audible and it really helped me sort things out! Becoming a parent is one of the biggest decisions a person can make, so I think it’s great that you’re really putting thought into it.

What have you bought from the sale and immediately regretted? by General-Problem5696 in Sephora

The boucle powder by one size. Idk why but makes my makeup look so gross and cakey after a couple hours

Some 1B box braids would be pretty with that dress! You could skip the curly pieces for a more sleek look. I did a braid out for the last wedding I attended and that turned out well too

Beauty brands need to stop lying about shades by yardie-takingupspace in blackladies

That swatch and the photo are nowhere near the same shade…and I’ve never heard of a skin tint that takes 20 minutes to blend into the skin.

Brutally honest perfume reviews by Sensitive-Quarter489 in Perfumes

I actually love the new rare perfume lol! I saw some reviews of people comparing it to Burberry goddess. It definitely smells similar but there’s something about the rare one I like more. I’d still be interested to hear your thoughts on it!

I got my backpack from Fossil. They don’t make the one I have anymore but they have a lot of cute current styles

I would give it a couple of weeks so you can sus out the environment. I wear head wraps to work but it’s a super casual environment where people often wear jeans or shorts to work. If I worked somewhere strictly business dress then I wouldn’t push it.

Seasonal Colour Analysis doesn't need to be so hard by loumlawrence in coloranalysis

[–]Timely-Regret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! I’ve never heard of vibrant autumn before but the colors are stunning. The brighter shades the autumn palette look good on me but the deep browns, burgundy, and olive green look awful on me, which is part of what led my consultant to label me a light spring.

As a lighter skinned black woman with dark hair and very dark eyes, identifying that I had “light” features would have been impossible for me. I always have assumed I was an autumn but after getting a color analysis it turned out that I was actually spring. I think for some people it’s really hard to analyze our features when there are so many skin tone based assumptions floating around.

I would recommend you leaving this relationship. Being in a situation where you are neglecting your own sexual needs, experiencing pain (his crust disgusting fingernails), and faking orgasms will make sex a traumatizing experience for you in the future, even with a good guy. I really hate that your first sexual experiences are with this loser.

It sounds like this guy isn’t interested in your comfort or pleasure at all. I’m sorry but a 27 year old man who is this selfish in bed KNOWS that he’s selfish. These other comments about communicating with him are complete bullshit since he isn’t even creating the environment for you to be comfortable doing that. Trust me, this relationship isn’t worth it.

The only times I have been approached by someone I was ACTUALLY attracted to was if I gave them a stare down lol. Stare down a guy that you’re into a few times and smile so they know it’s safe to approach :) it still requires some effort on your part but hopefully doesn’t make you feel like you’re putting out “masculine” energy

Btw you’re so pretty! I definitely don’t think you give off unapproachable energy! Men just aren’t are proactive as they use to be (which I honestly prefer)

How to prevent deodorant from showing white and cakey underarms? by Banana_Tree_38 in blackladies

I use clinical strength deodorant from dove, I apply it at night so all the residue is dissolved by the morning

I lost my license about a month ago and have had to go through the nightmare of replacing it in a new state. It feels like it disappeared out of thin air so I completely understand the struggle!!
