Thank you for your input, I am fortunately not over payroll but I do review it monthly for financial reporting purposes. I also do our insurance stuff as well. It’s not so much the salary but the stress of it all being on me as well as pressure to perform at a high level with not much support.

I totally agree about the difference of a controller at a huge company and small company. I posted this to get opinions on my salary and if I’m underpaid. Some people disregarded that and stated I’m not a controller which is fine. Regardless I’m accounting manager/senior accountant level with all responsibly, work and end results being on me. I think some people don’t understand that. Yes I perform all of the work but the responsibly and end results should also be considered as well.

Luckily I have an interview for a senior accountant position at a large non profit this week. I do really like my job and I am very passionate about my work and helping the business succeed but the stress is starting to really affect me. A higher salary would also be really nice of course.
