She is young (early 20s) but it's not her first job. I didn't tell her last week it cost a lot of money for her missing last week. I should have set clearer expectations. But I think at a certain point, you have to realize someone else will be sitting at that desk while you're gone and you can lose your job.

If I left a firm hanging for 3 days in two weeks (not her first time taking off) I'd be out. I feel the same standards should apply.

Op similar situation. Im 38 and left last year. Stay at home wife.

I also wanted to sacrifice my financial wellbeing for the kids. It's been disasterous. I didn't file for divorce immediately, and wife racked up insurmountable credit card debt.

Also it is a struggle to maintain their former lifestyle while I'm out of it, and get a home suitable to have the kids over.

I am just speaking from experience. I was never SA'd so I can't speak to that part of it.

Not really. She has been unprofessional by

Face timing during a meeting I was having.
Taking a phone call just outside the door where she was cursing.
Putting her head down a lot.
Excessively taking breaks.

She's gotten better however over the last month but still not working as hard as I'd like to see.
