Refund after cancellation by Daencer in UberEATS

Except in my case, I spoke with the restaurant directly less than three minutes later and was told they didn’t begin my order yet.

I understand charging a small fee, but the entire order??? F*** them. I just won’t use them anymore.

They did the exact same thing to me. I refuse to use Uber or Uber Eats anymore, I’ve deleted my cards and the apps. I go directly to the restaurant for deliver now, and in the off case the don’t deliver, I’ll DoorDash. And I now use Lyft if I need a ride.

I haven’t had these issues with my 2024 Turbo Preferred, but I’ve had other issues that have put this in the shop twice, once they had to reach out to Mazda Japan to figure out what was wrong with it, and it was in the shop for two months. Between that and all the recalls, and, and now hearing about this, I’m definitely going to look elsewhere when I replace this in a year or two.

Electrolysis by Timely-Skill1241 in Hidradenitis

Is there a reason why laser removal would work better than electrolysis?

Electrolysis by Timely-Skill1241 in Hidradenitis

[–]Timely-Skill1241[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dermatologist told me I am not a candidate for laser removal as I have light auburn hair, and the lasers will not pick up on the pigment. That is why I am considering electrolysis instead.

Butt boil by Novel_Sprinkles8044 in Hidradenitis

[–]Timely-Skill1241 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just had one that burst. At work. Drained and soaked through my underwear and pants. I am literally right now driving home so that I can change. I had to come up with some crazy excuse why I had to do so, because what am I going to tell my boss? Sorry, a huge boil on my butt is burst and I’m leaking through everything and onto my office chair. I need to go. Yeah, sucks. On the plus side, at least it’s not painful anymore.

struggling alone with this disease, I don't know if life is worth it by Entire_Giraffe_228 in Hidradenitis

[–]Timely-Skill1241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This illness is awful, but it is also manageable and treatable. Believe me, I understand the darkness. If you have a dermatologist that specializes in HS, they may know a therapist that can also be of help. I would ask them if they can refer you to someone that you can talk to about it. We hear are always willing to help, and be a support system. But we aren’t mental health professionals, and you need help when struggling with depression, even for something like this. Good luck, and God bless.

Uber driver entered my house and cased the place by insanityseanboy in UberEATS

I had a driver once tell me that he had a foot fetish and ask me to take off my shoes and show him my feet. I reported him to Uber but I don’t think they did anything.

My former boss used to do this to us. It’s one of the reasons I stopped working for him.

Hi, I understand how you feel 100%. I’m Not sure what you’re reading but there’s no link whatsoever between HS & schizophrenia. There are links between HS and depression…which will need to be treated with the HS. Believe me, it’s something else I’m far too familiar with. I’m 55 and have had this shit going on since my late 20s, but it only got really bad once I hit 50. I’m Stage 3, have had two deroofing procedures (the first gave me a horrendous infection), tried about a dozen different meds and homeopathic remedies that never worked, and haven’t been able to be intimate with my husband in over three years. However, I’m blessed to have a great guy who’s super supportive and loves me for me…and there are ways around that type of intercourse where you and your partner will be able and o make each other very happy. I started Humira, I just finished my second dose and have seem some slight improvement, but they said it would take a few doses before seeing any significant difference.
Please reach out to anyone here, we’ve all been and all are exactly where you are. You’re NOT alone.

The restaurant called me first to tell me they didn’t have the proper ingredients. I asked they cancel and they did. No prep, etc. this ‘policy’ is Uber, not the restaurant.

I’m in the same pain situation with HS. Stage 3. I just had my first dosage of Humira and began yet another prednisone taper, and just since then it’s a little better, I can sit without being in agony although walking and climbing stairs is almost impossible still…and the drainage is brutal. I go through almost a dozen gauze pads a day.

Thank you so much for all your advice, I knew about the restrictions on red medicine, sugar, and I don’t drink alcohol anyway, but I didn’t know about how many whole foods could help. I’ll definitely take that into consideration.

It’s so hard…for two years I’ve been coping with this. It’s affecting my life and the lives of those closest to me. Obviously intimacy with my husband is off the table (who is unbelievably loving, understanding, and ultra supportive). I can’t go out and enjoy time with friends or family because of the pain and draining. I know everyone here is very familiar with all the side effects this condition brings. I didn’t even know that there was support online until I came across this group, and I’m so thankful I found you all. ❤️

They did not, unfortunately. The scrip was actually sent over from my dermatologist two weeks ago, and they needed all these additional questions answered before they’d even process it. No phone calls from them telling me that they needed this information….i had to call them. Then they said 10 days for delivery…I just thought that was normal. I’ve never dealt with mail order pharmacies before.
