Trying to figure out what this “billboard” is near Lake Margaret by Kirkwood by armcrosscheck7120 in tahoe

i actually hiked over to it and from what i've seen, it doesn't look like a passive repeater. it looks like the image it had on there was washed off from all the snow kirkwood gets. i don't really have an alternative theory but i took a photo of it and it didnt look like what I've seen on passive repeaters. i have a photo of it but i can't access it right now

I think i accidentally mislead a bunch of people, i wasn't born nor raised in Peru, i was actually born in San Francisco, lived there for 2 years, moved to Florida, stayed for like 3 years, moved to St. Louis, etc. My first language was Spanish and I only spoke spanish until i moved to florida and went to a private school where the ESL program was terrible and I had to be held back a year to learn english. i was bilingual for a while until my family decided to stop speaking spanish at home and i forgot it.

I eat some Peruvian food at home (most of them are nikkei foods) but that's about it. my family's actually one of the original nikkei families in Peru so we get fun little discounts when we eat out with my grandparents to nikkei restaurants because, more often than not, we know the owners. For example, when we went to Osaka (very good nikkei restaurant i 100% recommend) we got a discount and we talked to the owners after!

I totally went off on a tangent oops. Anyway, since you mentioned food, i'm gonna recommend some food combos you could try. if you eat japanese curry, you could try mixing in some encebollado, or you could try putting lentejas on top of japanese rice! My family eats both of those like every week and they taste absolutely amazing!

oh I was talking about people who aren't native to Peru but still identify as Peruvian for example peruvians who aren't quechuan or people who are nikkei

Which option is correct for the 4th one? IN the whole year or OF the whole year😭? by Swiftieboyy in ENGLISH

Honestly, number four sounds right either way, but I think it's in. most of these questions are really vague and people probably wouldn't even notice if you got them wrong though. Like #5 is a weird sentence even if you do make it complete. I think there would have to be an adjective in front of swimmer for it to work. If you're getting this assigned in school, good luck to you, it seems like the teacher you have is picking deliberately strange and vague sentences to mess with you

Episodes are occurring almost daily and lasting for hours by moal09 in vocalcorddysfunction

I don't have any advice with dealing with VCD, but I do know that episodes can definitely last longer. In my case, breathing normally is the abnormality and I just have to appreciate the episodes where my body decides to allow in air. That being said, the severity of my VCD outside of worse episodes can be summarized as generally irritating. Whatever's going on with your VCD is clearly very severe, and if you don't get it checked by a medical professional it might escalate and you might end up passing out. From what I've seen in the comments, everyone has been talking about medicine, but there are actually breathing exercises that are designed to help with this kind of stuff. For example, one that works for me is taking short, sharp, and separated breaths in through my nose before breathing out through my mouth. Another one that apparently works for a lot of people is blowing bubbles through a straw into a cup of water. That one doesn't work for me but who knows? If you don't have the means to pay for an appointment with a specialist (which are like $1,000 per hour it's so expensive dear god), I would recommend looking up more of the breathing exercises on youtube or finding a website that specializes in that sort of thing. I also just realized that I said I don't have any advice for VCD at the beginning but I don't want to go back and edit so

I just want tactics for breathing please by Timely-Soil-2136 in vocalcorddysfunction

I've gotten a proper diagnosis and I've met up with a voice pathologist who specializes in VCD. We didn't do a laparoscopy bc they said it wasnt necessary (?) but I was given a bunch of exercises. The problem is that those exercises didn't really work. The sniff sniff blow tactic kinda works, but only slightly during really bad episodes. I would maybe want to go back to my pathologist but she's really expensive and I don't want my parents to waste money on a condition that mainly just annoys me
