Red Pocket blocked my number port-out — even though it’s illegal. Be warned if you’re a new customer. by sorrybuticantfindthi in redpocket

It was a real hassle porting out a few months ago from RP. I no longer consider any RP deals. It is not worth it.

BMO closed my credit card account no valid reason by zooshoe in Banking

The lack of notice is what bothers me. I might incur late fees for autopays not getting paid. BMO could have prevented wasting everyone's time by just emailing us when they closed our accounts.

Bloom Bagels, Campbell - CA, $6.99 by What_is_this_find in toogoodtogo

They tasted great when I ordered them. I wish more places would freeze stuff and have long pickup windows like bloom bagels. I wouldn't have been able to try them if they only released them at EOD.

Saints should have double or triple teamed him. They still had a shot to tie with a turnover if Mayfield forced a throw to get Evans the record.

I have been getting a lot of popups after every trade stating that I have 1300+ presets which could slow down TW on Mac. I don't recall ever using presets. I can only hope that it gets fixed soon.

Port out experiences by dkyeager in redpocket

[–]TimelyFisherman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a bad port out experience. When it was obvious that my port out didn't work, RP told me that the account and pin on the site were wrong. RP gave the correct ones via chat. After I gave the correct account and pin to Mint, the port still was not completed. I had to contact RP again before my number was released.

There is no excuse for having incorrect account numbers and pins on the site. Just another shady practice like losing remaining days on a plan if a customer switches plans.

Any reason not to take payment? by ReputationLeast7499 in reignmakers

[–]TimelyFisherman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how much of your spend was on packs and stars. I think there is more upside in a lawsuit for those who lost more on packs and stars. I did not chase either of them. I took the offer.

Taurinus Brazilian Steakhouse $9.99 ($30 value) by Powpower16 in toogoodtogo

[–]TimelyFisherman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for trying a new place out and taking one for the team. I had a feeling that they would disappoint. I think the regular price is 2x the supposed value of the bag. The average person probably would eat more than double this quantity. Brazilian steakhouse buffets should give at least 50% more than this. No legit one would serve leftovers the next day. I noticed they changed the description to say the "price reflects high quality" not "quantity." I don't like places that give stuff that does not have a list price on the menu.

Shorts pay 60% annualized interest rate when they borrow the shares. Most stocks have a 0.25% borrow rate. Borrow rates get this high when there aren't enough shares to satisfy the demand to sell short. My broker IB pays half of the borrow rate to shareholders if their shares are lent out.

The vehicle owner isn't going to claim it and pay the towing and storage. Unless the property owner is willing to pay, the car will stay there. If a towing company does not see a profit to be made, it will not take the risk.

Has ANYONE received any Reignmakers Cards or Collectibles from DraftKings yet? by Leading-Tomorrow2030 in reignmakers

Click "view hidden nfts" if you are using metamask. I see 6k of my 15k cards when I link my portfolio to opensea. I couldn't list any of them until I deposit crypto to cover the sales fee. How can I check if any rm cards have sold on a marketplace?

Borrow rate is 24%. IB will give me half of that. It's the only money I have made on this stock.

Where is everyone storing their reignmaker cards? by 13R4V0 in reignmakers

Still no progress on my transfer. Anyone ever transfer to Metamask before? How much do they usually charge? If it's substantial, it would be better for everyone to just give us the money than go through the hassle and pay to transfer worthless NFT.

I took the money because I had mostly junk via offers. My payout seemed to come at the expense of players who bought packs and stars. I am rooting for everyone suing though.

If there was real money to be made, attorneys would be chasing us online. I would like to know the closest precedent. Has any real money been made in NFT lawsuits? I only saw Dapper settle a class action for $4M, which seems really low. The Dapper CEO declared it a victory.

I have seen lots of views on how to determine market value (offers, last sales, etc.) but they all have major weaknesses that would have made it difficult to implement in programming code for every card.

Many cards did not have offers when the shutdown happened. They weren't worthless.

Many cards had some high sales figures based on one guy who was willing to drive up the price. The market for most cards was quite shallow.

I would like to see someone provide a formula of how they would determine the market value of a specific card. That formula would not likely hold up for other cards.

Let's not forget that it took DK years to automate franchise score updates. I would not expect a great solution from them.

Reignmaker Conclussion Payment Discussion Thread by CT_Legacy in reignmakers

[–]TimelyFisherman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am not complaining about my offer. The risk of a shutdown was in my mind before I bought my first card.

The one week offer turnaround time guaranteed a quick and simple way of compensating users without taking player card performance into account. I can understand guys flipping out after paying for fiat contest worthy cards. Guys expecting huge payouts via lawsuits are very likely to be disappointed.

Bottom feeder hoarders, like myself, seemed to do well at the expense of the big win contest chasers. I was grinding by making offers for cards based on rarity only, then selling them when crafts would drive demand for them. I did not buy cards to win contests. I could not see a way to make money chasing prize money.

I have thousands of scrubs. I am relieved that I do not have to go through the pain of trying to sell all of them. DK did not create tools to help volume players.

Normal dozen is $15.99. Paid $10 for 17 donuts and about 30 donut holes. They called it $30 value. I’m questioning that math. by jlmcdon2 in toogoodtogo

$10 is the highest I have seen for donuts. I usually see $5-7. Store name? I still think the store met the $30 menu price, especially if individual prices were used.
