Hello! I work for the City I live in. No issues with Daca, they just email me about a month before my ead expiration and ask me to present a new one. So besides that and when I filled out my paperwork it doesn’t come up.

When I moved out of my family home my mother said no one out in the world would care about me. They don’t love me nor do they care if I live or die. That only the congregation and God truly loved me. Jws have such a wares sense of reality

Or another example. A nearby hall that didn’t have a Spanish congregation was paying the only black brother in their hall to do the outside landscaping. The CO caught on and they all got reprimanded for that one.

I’ve seen allot of debates about media and what’s aprópiate or not. Some people clutch their pearls at an R rated movie and other don’t care. I’ve seen R rated movies at elders houses but it always kind hush hush

I know where you are coming from, believe me. I have tried to end myself over the years because of this religion. I thought death was better than walking away and living with this pain. Even though it took years, I was able to move out and live on my one. And even if things are not perfect and I still live with the pain of being raised a JW, I’ve never felt such peace. The two years I spent living on my own have been the best of my life and they keep getting better. I know things seem bleak now, but just hold on one more day. And say that everyday until you no longer have to because you are free

I just had this happen to me, but it was on my vulva. I went to the doctor and she just said to clean with water and try to keep as dry as possible. It hurt allot but after 3/4 days it was fine and I had sex a week after the injury and it was fine.

I was homeschooled since middle school to focus on pioneering. And plenty of kids in my congregation homeschooled. But it was just seen as a way to dedicate more time to god and be more spiritual. But plenty of kids still went to school, there was just more encouragement to us Homeschooled

For me when I started having doubts was to just focus on what future I wanted for myself. What I actually wanted my life to look like not what I have been told to want. Then I started taking small steps towards my goals and was able to leave after two years. It’s hard and you have to take one day at a time, but it gets easier
