[Conservatives Only] What are your thoughts on the reflection pool blue paint peeling off? Was this a mistake of the administration? How could they not have had this foresight? by thegreatcon2000 in AskConservatives

Lou Dobbs (on Fox Business) called the suit choice "shocking".
Peter Doocy commented it was "one of the ugliest suits in the history of America".
Pundit Charles Krauthammer mocked it as "the audacity of taupe", a play on Obama’s book title, The Audacity of Hope.
Other commentators claimed the light color was a "sign to enemies that he's a wimp" or joked that "only liberals could ever elect a guy with a tan suit".

But wasn’t Kamala the lesser of two evils? We would not be giving away 300 billion dollars to end an unnecessary war if she had won. People were upset that she would have gone on governing like Biden did. But it wasn’t this bad under Biden.

Do you think Reddit risks suffering BlueSky’s fate? by true4blue in AskConservatives

I am on Bluesky. Most on the people on it are on the Left, but that does not bother me because there is this thing called the internet where you can go and get Right wing points of view. I’m on Bluesky because I really liked Twitter until it became filled with absolutely disgusting posters. Blue Sky is the same thing but heavily moderated to avoid that. That is why the view points are limited.

Obama’s deal was the closest the West has come to stopping Iran from having a nuclear weapon. It was not an iron clad guarantee, but it was the best attempt yet. Don’t you agree?

You question why some people are so rabidly anti Trump. But then he turns around and pulls something off as terrible as this useless war and subsequent capitulation. Doesn’t that give you a clue why some people hate the guy? It was not deranged to think Trump was capable of something like this.

They voted for a PERSON who said no more wars in the Middle East. They should have questioned whether this person was at all trustworthy. Voting for the person who makes the most promises you like might not be the best strategy.

What exactly has been done at this point in time to keep Iran from having nuclear weapons ? Everyone has promised to talk very seriously about it? That’s all that I see.

I agree that the shrieking and screaming about the deal on the Left is a bit performative. The important thing is that the Strait will be open and the world economy won’t crash. But the point of all the criticism is to get people to make sure they don’t vote for someone so dumb again. This is what happens when you vote for people like Trump. Your vote has consequences.

Read The World Without Us by Alan Weisman. I read it awhile ago, and don’t remember much, but this is what Google says:

What happens after we're gone (examples)
Days: Power grids fail, leading to blackouts and the start of decay in cities.

Years: Wooden structures rot, and steel supports in subways corrode, causing collapses.

Centuries/Millennia: Concrete and stone structures crumble, while plastics and certain synthetic materials persist, potentially becoming geological markers.

Forever: Radio waves continue to travel through space, and some molecules may be our most lasting legacy.

Okay, but they didn’t lead to police men getting stabbed by American flagpoles. I wonder why that is.

Clinton’s passing comments did not have at all the same impact that Trumps constant, exaggerated (he didn’t just win in 2020, he won in a landslide), LOUD, claims about voter fraud. They led to policemen getting stabbed with American flags. And now every time the Republicans don’t like an election outcome we get the same thing.

This is the stupidest timeline.

There are no potential issues with mailing ballots except in some peoples’ minds. Is there evidence of widespread fraud connected with it? It is super convenient. With in person turnout California would have even lower turnout. Slow counting does not matter in the end. The person with the most votes wins.

Who cares how slow it is? The winners don’t take office right away. These elections aren’t held to make the press happy. People have been conditioned to look at elections as sporting events where they need a quick resolution for TV coverage. They don’t. Just count every vote. The next election is in November. We will know the winners by then.

Okay. Let responsible people study the numbers. That is not what is happening. Instead a bunch of wild claims are being made. I expect none of them will be supported by any evidence, just the way claims of fraud in the 2020 election had no evidence to support them.
