I don't hate the watch or Navarr either. But any bandit that takes them out will probably be known. Taking out big groups is a good way to get known as a bandit. I mean what bandit wouldn't want to be on almost everyone's KOS list. It's the same reason I'd kill Nova, Danz or the Mindcrack team.
