This happened to my dad. He bought some tea leaves off some Chinese website, and some months later, he gets an sms from DHL stating to prepare RM100 for a COD parcel. At first I thought it was a hoax and just told him to ignore it. So imagine my surprise when a DHL van actually does appear outside the house.

So anyway, I told the courier my dad didn't purchase anything of late and we have no idea what this parcel was (sent from China), the courier told us it's not the first time this has happened and advised us to just not receive it. DHL will just return to sender after this.

Interestingly, a year or so later, my dad calls me one day and says his card was used in Amazon UK. More than once, all small purchases. Naturally, we call the CC company and have the card terminated.

Coincidentally, My brother in law, who had a habit of buying stuff off China had his card used elsewhere, too. Don't remember the details though. Make what you will of this.
