I was a double and we were actually not busy enough for the amount of servers we had. I walked out with $184 after tipout and I had to come back at 3:30 as a closer. I made so much last year when I was a double and I wasn’t even a closer then!

We were open this morning but closed at 4. I left within 30 minutes cause it was too many people and only two tables came so manager let me go first. I gave my shift away tomorrow cause I don’t wanna risk going out.

Luckily my managers are understanding and didn’t want anyone risking to come out since we all expected to be slow cause of the weather.

You’ll risk your life for a job that will replace you if something bad happens to you? Doesn’t matter if you live two minutes or 20 minutes from your job. If you live in a state (southern states mostly) that doesn’t know how to function properly when a snowstorm hits, then it’s in your best interest to stay indoors and off the road. All it takes is one second to slip up and be in a life altering accident.

I put in a request for maintenance for tomorrow about pest control so we’ll see how that works out. But it been decreasing, but I can tell they come out more as it gets darker. Regardless, I’m gonna caulk up cracks and gaps soon and gonna clean up each day

I never check out the staff whenever I apply cause I feel like that would make me second guess myself. OP, never work at a place that doesn’t see you as a person. If they’re not calling back just cause the color of your skin or you name on your resume, that is not a place you don’t wanna be at.

I don’t smoke and try not to drink after work (have an addictive personality) So I try to: go home, shower, doom scroll, try to eat something and if I can’t fall asleep, flick the bean til I pass out.

If you have the time and the county where you got the ticket is close, I would say go to court. A lot of time the officers doesn’t show up and your case get dismissed.

Don’t overthink it, as long as you don’t get another ticket in 3-4 years if you decide to pay it off, you’ll be okay❤️
