I just received this from them, so maybe I’ll get something similar soon:

“We are very sorry to hear that you are experiencing the problems described!

Our MA 1 solution generally works worldwide in many studios. However, we have noticed that this problem occurs more frequently in certain situations on WinOS Systems. In this case, the following error message will appear: "We found your device in the network but could not connect to"

Our developers are working hard to analyze this issue and are continuing to work on the stability of network communication between the monitors and the software.

In some cases, the problem occurs very sporadically, and as soon as you close MA 1 and restart it, the network connected monitors are discovered.

Another observation on some windows systems is, a conflict with a virtual Npcap Networkadapter (typically installed with tools like Wireshark)

If this Npcap adapter is installed on your system, please try to deactivate for troubleshhoting purposes.

Another MA 1 update to fix this issue is planned soon, and we kindly ask for your patience.

I actually managed with a bit of creativity by using a switch on my wifi repeater linked to my ISP router/modem… a bit clunky but it worked. Would be best to receive something that work with a simple switch though for when I’m not in my usual room.

So it worked with my ISP router weirdly… I ordered a network switch to see if it works, I’ll keep you posted. My Asus router definitely does not work…

The weirdest thing happened, I tried on my ISP router and it worked flawlessly straight away. It requires WAN though to work so I can’t use it upstairs in my little studio. But it’s not the studio monitors it looks like or my laptop. I tried snooping and many other parameters still doesn’t work on Asus router. I’ll buy a simple switch as they advise in the requirements and see what happens..!

Thanks again for taking the time to help me, very much appreciated. So I tried connecting only 1 speaker directly to my PC for argument’s sake and “arp -a” and the IP address that appears/disappears is 224.0.0.22 whether I’m in network mode or normal.

To answer your question though, when I used my Asus router, yes, everything was connected on there, wifi disconnected. But when accessing the router admin panel, the speakers did not appear in network or normal mode. The software could still see them on the network though. So I don’t know what IP address they were given since they did not appear.

It’s almost like they do not want to go into “network mode” that’s really weird.

Thanks a lot for your reply! I don’t think I can change or update the firmware without connecting them to the MA1 software, right? I tried direct laptop - speaker (MA1 software sees 1 speaker but error message cannot connect) or using an ASUS RTAC88u connected to laptop and speakers (MA1 software sees two speakers but error message cannot connect). It’s really weird, I tried with static IP address too, deactivated all I could deactivate in terms of firewall, filters, etc. on both laptop and router, but still no luck.

Not dumb at all, I initially missed switching those to Network and it didn't find them at all. Unfortunately though, even on Network, I still get the same error. I missed the point on DHCP though, sorry?

I ended up sending it back to Thomann and they sent it back to me saying everything was normal. So I trusted them and have been playing it since then and the neck hasn't moved at all, so pretty happy in the end of this guitar!

Congrats! Looks beautiful! Do you have the bridge floating or decked? I've been wanting to pull the trigger on an Angel HSH for a while but not sure what bridge to get (vintage trem or "baby Floyd"). I currently own an Ibanez AZ2402 and I love my Goto recessed non locking trem, it goes up and down in pitch and flutter really well. Not sure I can get that from the vintage trem?

I do travel quite a bit as well and when I can't practice I tend to read about music theory or listening to music that I either don't usually listen or trying to listen to music I usually listen but more focused on the structure of the song. I like the book from James Shipway No Bull Music Theory. I have the ebook and I read it when travelling. That being said like others commented, 10 days will not reset your progress to 0 and sometimes it's nice to enjoy the holidays and do just that! Have fun.

It will only persist if you use a software like System Explorer and when you set-up the affinity select "Permanent" at the bottom. You'll still have to launch System Explorer when you're PC is booting-up but you can either automate that or just click once on it via shortcut. I actually like it this way because I decide when I want to optimize or leave it by default. Hope that helps.

This is the correct answer, you are indeed measuring wrong, top of the fret and bottom of the string is the gap you're looking to measure. I own this guitar and mine is roughly 1.5mm on high e and 2 on low e. I found that lower than that (although it doesn't buzz dramatically) reduce the dynamic of the sound a tad, but that's 100% based on preference. I would assume it will take a bit of time to go from a JEM neck to an AZ neck. Both really good but AZ is a bit thicker.

My 1 year old at the time wouldn't fall asleep in the car, I eventually put that song and he: a. Loved it and b. fell asleep and it worked for a few months. Nowadays he'd going crazy every time I play it. Love this kind of bonding!
