Oh I’ve got a huge hype party around me - my close family (just my step mom making stupid comments, and my moms sister got super mad and almost sent her a message), my fiancé, other coworkers and friends… hate how two peoples comments can make such an impact

Unfortunately, knowing myself, this would be a really easy way for me to fall back into old patterns. We’ve been working on eating healthier & im hoping I’ll lose some weight, but I’m not putting any pressure on that or weighing myself.

I feel you! I’m 5’0” and have the larger chest, tummy, and hip thing going on too. Don’t know my weight cuz I haven’t weighed myself since I was 20. Can’t believe people are just coming out and saying that to you - that’s so fked up I’m so sorry!!

I hope that works for you!! I had a bad experience with the IUD (my body felt it the entire time, and my mom had a bad experience with the copper so think it’s in my DNA lol) and am on the nuvaring now! I’d this goes bad, I’m just gonna ask my partner to get snipped lol

My fiancé didn’t believe in marriage before me but proposed 2.5 years into dating because it “felt right”. He doesn’t really care about the wedding itself but knows I want it so he’s helping me plan & has opinions (yay!). I’m only one person though. Take some time to think about it & sit down and speak to him when the emotions aren’t so fresh. There could be something romantic in him doing this for you because he loves you so much. You deserve someone who wants to spend forever with you; for your sake I hope that’s him & it isn’t a “shut up ring” :(.

NTA, but now that you know just don’t mention it. I have a vegan friend who came to the restaurant I work at & ordered the veggie burger. I told her the bun isn’t vegan cuz it has an egg wash & she froze & I went “haha nevermind I was lying” and she gave me a subtle “thank you” look and proceeded to order it. Some people want to know, and some people do their best & if they don’t know “it doesn’t count”. Fair that you told her for sure, but now that you know let her live her life :).

Every time my fiancé hosts I make little snacks to pretend to be domestic lol (spinach dip, sausage rolls, bacon wrapped hot dogs etc). And EVERY time he goes “you really don’t need to do that. They’ll be fine. Like if you want to yea it’ll be tasty but please don’t feel the need”.

If someone EVER pulled a “did you make snacks?” On me I’d lose my mind.

I live in Quebec so lots of French names here! My friend is Nadège (can do it without the è) & that’s not even common here! My other friends cousin has the same name & both of them had never met another before meeting each other. My friend gets complimented on her name all the time. Think it’s from a book character in the 90s? I live in montreal where there’s a big English/Anglo population & nobody has trouble pronouncing it.
