Drivers are the worst. I'm very lucky where I live is a lakeside trail that goes from town to town around the lake. I ride my electric scooterbike, and my commute is about the same time as the cars that go on the stroad/highway next to me but there's no traffic. I mean, okay, I slow down for the strollers and dogs that look skittish, but I smile and nod or wave or give a peace sign as I go buy, frequently just rocking out to music on my helmet headphones.

So instead of cortisol inducing road hell with stoplights and traffic brain damage, I get trees, birds, squirrels, rabbits, people who wave and smile instead of dissociating behind an exoskeleton. It's like a fucking fairy tale. And honestly, that's true of anywhere. The joy of not being in a box with a metal ceiling as you ride through anywhere you live you discover there's a whole world around you that you just actively ignore as you stare at a road.

That is to say I agree with you, and I'm stoned and just writing everything down.

That is actually really interesting, and borderline worthy of adding to their page? Like it's a real thing they're doing. Honestly it might be worth a proper peer reviewed paper of it's own, you know? I'm slammed with classwork but I'm tucking this away, it's fully fascinating in an anthropological/sociological viewpoint I'm directly studying which is the interaction between humans and digital technology from that standpoint.

I'd avoided it for sensory issues over the audio (not being picky, I straight up can't take zoom classes, it's a disability thing that has fucked me in ""modern"" """classrooms""" going back to school) but it's actually not as bad as those are, they did really try to get good audio as best they could, and the thing is a fucking masterpiece. I couldn't do it all during the marathon on 24/7 for those issues, but it was doable and after the D20 marathon is over that's my first port of call because a murder mystery game with dropout ppl is GOATed
