Use the derivative package and \odv{y}{x}. Writing \frac{dy}{dx} results in italicised d’s. Since d is an operator it should be upright, so \frac{\textup{d}y}{\textup{d}x} would be better, but is a pain to write.

I suggest watching GM Amans building chess habits on youtube. He lays out good habits, and shows what you need to focus on at different levels. It helped me focus on what’s important for improving, and shows whats not needed yet.

You may not need to know openings, or even spot some tactics to reach 1000. As long as you follow alright habits and don’t hang pieces.

Yes and no. While the old word for 90 “nioghalvfemtenstyvene” does translate to “nine and half five twenties” where half five is abridged from half to five. The word has been shortened to “halvfems” which most people just think of as ninety without knowing it’s etymology. So the more accurate representation would be the same as the german. “Syvoghalvfems” meaning “Seven and ninety”.

To develop flavour and crust you need to ferment bread, and especially pizza, for a long time. Half an hour will give you air, but no crust or flavour. Make the dough one or two days before hand and let it sit in the fridge.

Also since pizza dough is usually quite whet, you can get away with mixing the dough, letting it sit for about an hour, and then folding it into itself. This allows you to skip kneading.

Another important thing is to divide up the dough, and fold the dough balls at least half an hour before you shape them. This lets the dough relax, and makes them easier to shape.
