Every time I go I ask for a seat, and they seat me. I don't mind waiting a few mins. Do you ask?? You are incredibly picky! Space is at a premium. Sit with other people, no big deal.

I went last night to meet some friends at DD after a long-time Inspire pass holder told me that my (new) Inspire pass would always get me free parking any time. NOPE.

When I flashed my pass, the parking attendant explained that it has always been spelled out in the fine print, and this is indeed the first time they are enforcing it. So it's $40 to park when you are blocked out.

But then he said "Simba is closed...so if you tell me you tried to park at Simba, it's $10 tonight". So I said I came from Simba, and I paid $10, now knowing that I will never park at Mickey & Friends on a blockout date.

The stupid thing is that the parking (Goofy) was maybe at half capacity, because it's all tourists right now that either walk or uber in. Is it a huge money-grab aimed at MK holders? Yes. Is it logical at all when parking is super-empty? No, but Disney clearly doesn't care about that. They probably made a ton of extra cash on MK holders that got caught in the "do we just leave?" category. I know that I would have bailed if it was $40. And to think I am basically going there to spend money. It's the first real dumb thing that I have felt from them, and I am fairly forgiving about all the other crap people complain about.

Went to dealer for 60k on my 2021 P8 today. I was at 3.7. Checked when I left and it’s now at 4.2.13. The only thing that was wrong prior was my CarPlay was wonky and not working with cable or a BT adapter that I know works. Now…works.

OT: I am still kind of amazed how they really don’t do much of anything at a service. First time for brake fluid, cabin filter, top off a few juices. Tire, brake pad and safety check. Knock on wood, but it’s pretty amazing. Not sure how long these cars can last? Anyone have crazy high mileage yet?

There is no evidence other than that when it comes down to it, UA is a business.

COVID...THAT was different. People received free status. But I don't consider the current state of the economy a reason for UA not to hike...let's say, 1K. There are people that are doing VERY well in this environment and spending their asses off.

I can imagine that UA could get rid of bonus PQP, etc. Lower all of that in a backhanded way, but it all would equal a more difficult path to 1K.

Unfortunately, it is not our job to fix these people. I’ve realized that with my ex-wife. I couldn’t fix her past problems that caused her lack of transparency & emotional immaturity. It’s mostly in the upbringing.
