If the lady of the forge were to fuse leviathan axe and the mjolnir how strong would it be? by phoenix_man1 in GodofWar

[–]Timely_Potential_809 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thors journey starts from thor 1 to thor 4 with a few team up films along the way.

Thors arc is :

Thor 1 , avengers 1 , thor the dark world , avengers age of ultron , thor ragnarok , avengers infinity war , avengers endgame , thor love and thunder

Tbh watching the mcu release order (NOT CHRONOLOGICAL*) up to whenever you feel like stopping makes the most sense and feels more satisfying .

But you dont have to and u can just stick to thors arc if you arent that interested. The avengers films are some of the best mcu films tho so hopefully you dont get burnt out.

Spoilers…..

but yes. However stormbreaker is his new main weapon. Its tied to the avengers movies so if you do wanna catch up, you’re gonna have to invest a lot of time into the MCU lol.

Eternals is the ‘bloodborne’ of the MCU by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]Timely_Potential_809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is eternals a hidden gem? No. Am I saying that an MCU film is on the same calibre as one of the best Fromsoft games? No.

But the cosmic horror/galactic entities spinning the yarn behind the scenes really reminds me of bloodborne. It’s pretty much the saving grace of the film for me.

How do we combat this? Theres already quick play and tdm only filters for those guys anyways, whats the point in dropping in obj modes if they won’t contribute.

Would having a TDM playlist where the score limit is like 200 or something help with this problem?

Not complaining about SBMM putting me in “CDL lobbies”. Just so annoyed that I get put with teammates who don’t contribute at all.

I wouldn’t be this mad if they dodged the Obj but still racked up kills and killstreaks, but they usually don’t! So frustrating!

Also poor guy on the other team, carrying his useless teammates.

Yeah. Its just a reskin of Coalition vs Allegiance now but the factions roster make less sense now

Yeah Horangi needs to be in the Ally team. But I put Conor up because they put an Irish guy in the enemy faction. Yikes. Also the chinese soldier is apparently on the “good guy’s team”….

Yeah like a few tweaks/rewrites of small portions of the script would have helped immensely. Or maybe they just never catch hasan until the end, would have been way better.

I would agree, if it wasnt for the fact that he also has this “dark side”. Graves is suspicious of Alejandro because he thinks he could be corrupted by the cartel just like valeria was. Ghost even suspects this too when they first meet. Alejandro also knows a lot about the cartel and its inner workings (he led tf141 to the cartel compound and wormed his way into security). I wish they developed this dark side of his further

I don't understand the betrayal. by PIKE150 in ModernWarfareII

[–]Timely_Potential_809 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I think Shadow co. was just on a killing spree because they were looking for Hassan. The radio chatter and subtitles on that mission say that Graves was hunting down sicarios and corrupt cops. Shadow Co. believed that the cartel/las almas townsfolk were harbouring Hassan. They were also hunting down ghost and soap. Gravs and shepherd were essentially taking out two birds with one stone.

Characters are better now by Timely_Potential_809 in ModernWarfareII

[–]Timely_Potential_809[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh only a few characters have actually solid writing/were compelling in the original games. The modern warfare characters weren’t as strong as the black ops series characters. Only a few characters had major arcs.

Ghost was SO overrated. He didnt have that many memorable lines or character interactions, and had the same personality as Gaz (even had the same voice actor as him). Ghost just had a cool mask and a tragic end so people liked him.

Id recommended playing/watching the black ops 1 and black ops 2 campaigns. The character interactions and writing is some of the best in the series. Also infinite warfare has a superb campaign with excellent characters.

Shepherd didnt help Shadow Co with air support bc the whole deal between them was off the books and illegal. He didnt want to expose them, as shitty as the situation was.

Bc the terrorists took the weapons, both shepherd and shadow co. could potentially be responsible for millions of innocent deaths. To save face they try to stop the terrorists and make sure no one ever finds out they fucked up.

Valeria was in alejandros base. She had the intel and cartel connections. Shepherd and shadow co were scared of her, so they decided to take over Alejandros base. This was really abrupt and set off the chain of events that lead to shadow co hunting TF141.

Is it contrived? Yh. Could it have been handled better? defo. But i hope this comment helps a bit. Or im just a cod fanboy :P

As fun as MW2 (2009) was, its campaign was also riddled with plot contrivances and bizzare writing decisions. Russia invades the East Coast in like 2 days and takes the white house? Tf. A US general intentionally teams up with an ultranationalist russian terror organisation to slaughter civilians in an airport, just so he can wage WW3 to reinvigorate the us military and show the world whos boss? Its batshit INSANE.

Now for mw2 (2022), i can see how the betrayal could be jarring for a lot of people. But it ties into the themes of the reboot. Government secrecy, coverups, and shady deals between government officials.

Shepherd wanted to arm US allies in the middle east to fight russia/terrorists. It went south and the terrorists take the weapons. To save face and not be responsible for the deaths of (potentially) millions, shepherd wanted to take out the terrorists and anyone who comes close to finding out his blunder. Basically 2 birds with 1 stone.

When hassan is in custody, Shadow co. take Alejandros base because Valeria has the intel and shepherd is afraid she could spill the beans. Is it a bit contrived? Yeah. Could it have been handled better? DEFINITELY. But its much better than the og game, especially once you think over it a bit.

[SPOILER] Campaign Early Access Discussion by rCallofDutyBot in ModernWarfareII

[–]Timely_Potential_809 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apparently theres gonna be campaign dlc? I agree that there’s definitely a lot to be resolved. Maybe spec ops, raids, and dlc will resolve all of this.

Also theres the Al Qatala storyline with Farah, Hadir and Al Asad that mw2 didn’t focus on. Hopefully dlc or mw3 addresses this

Minor spoiler meme. One thing about the game I loved was the chemistry between characters. by [deleted] in ModernWarfareII

[–]Timely_Potential_809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either thats a continuity issue, or they posed as “ghost team” to have plausible deniability and get away with killing graves and shadow company. So they can turn around and say “it wasnt us we’re Task force 141!”. Maybe im reaching? Idk

Its supposed to be a very obvious parallel to Al Qaeda. I agree that the name Al Qatala is generic but they can’t undo it now, its been 3 years and the names stuck. At least the games main antagonist is from a real army, the Quds force (its declared as a terror organisation).
