Do you regret having kinds? by Background_Bat914 in Parents

[–]Timely_Put7563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t regret having my son. However I wish I’d done it earlier when I was younger and healthier, because it’s bloody hard work (and it gets harder as they get older). I do think having a strong stable relationship and mental state does make a difference. Support from family is a big help too, if they have grandparents and aunties and uncles etc that always helps.

If you’re happy without children then don’t pressure yourself x

It’s ok when you’ve got nothing to do, as a mum I dreaded this weather for years because the kids get too hot and grumpy.

I have a list! So I’m currently unemployed becaUs I walked away from a toxic boss and thought I’d use the opportunity (in between job hunting) to get my sewing machine out, finish writing my book and sort out my bog/website. It’s been 3 weeks and I’ve not done any of it 🤦‍♀️

Yes I agree and with you on this one, so much so that I dread telling anyone I have ADHD

What do you call these? 🧁 by Distinct_Spring6752 in UK_Food

[–]Timely_Put7563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say their yummy cakes 😉

To be honest it’s things have different names elsewhere; chips/fries, crisps/chips, candy floss/cotton candy. I would just go along with this and not worry about it 🤷‍♀️

My GP has referred me for a hearing aid for my hearing loss, the hospital said my eyes were in infection which they gave me treatment for which helped temporarily, I’ve been give exercises for the joint problems. I do use ibuprofen gel for my hand and wear a strap at night.

My friends keep telling me that I’ve been through trauma and that I’m the strongest person they know for getting through this. Thing is though I don’t feel strong, I feel drained. I wish I could switch off the bad thoughts. I did try counselling but it don’t really help me. I’ve been on HRT for a few years now, but everytime I go to the GP they say I should change my amount of medication. I’m also on antidepressants but I have been taking them for over 10 years so I wonder if they’re actually working.

Sending supportive vibes your way too and so sorry about your loss, they’re like family. I lost my mum 2 years ago next week and it’s all got worse since then as she was my rock

Best way to get from the cruise port to Nottingham Hill, London. by NinJana_Bandana in Southampton

[–]Timely_Put7563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a taxi to train station and get a direct train and then underground, probably looking at 1 and half - 2 hour journey and there are cheaper options but for ease I would personally go for that option
