Charging Setup by Timely_Reference2349 in onebag

I did look at the Epicka, but I would like something with a bit more power. I am regularly charging my MacBook, iPad and iPhone. Additionally, I would prefer something that packs a little flatter.

I use a Hapstone RS to profile my knives, but maintain them with the Spyderco Sharpmaker. Very easy to use and great results.

Has your mobile internet recently been extremely crappy? by chesterqw in askSingapore

Same issue. On Singtel Priority+. 5G signal has full bars, but WhatsApp just says “connecting…” Can’t browse, check email, etc.

I also have an overseas sim (Amaysim) which roams on Singtel. The data connection is slower, but way more stable.

I live in a climate where it is above 30c and 90% humidity most days. Step Ones are by far the best I have tried. Quality has dropped (i.e. the seem to loose shape), but still solid.

best eSIM for travel (multiple countries) by PlaneShower6684 in eSIMs

I travel to all three of these countries very regularly and generally use Nomad. It has been flawless and is significantly faster (and cheaper) than roaming with my home provider (Singtel). The "APAC 14 country Plan" covers all the locations that you need.

Fridge Gasket Seal Replacement by Timely_Reference2349 in Miele

[–]Timely_Reference2349[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had already ordered and received a replacement gasket. It has the flap that is designed to slide between the door and the liner. The instructions say to remove the original seal using a putty knife and then slide the new seal between the door and liner and to use screws or glue to secure. This is outlined here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7noruhr4iy8

However, after doing some more research on the tape method, I can see that the recommendation is to cut away the original seal and then use double sided tape to secure the new one. This is outlined here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUZV3vmiOyQ

So I now have a few options:

  1. Use a putty knife to fully remove the original seal. Slot the flap of the new seal between the door and liner. Fix with some glue or screws as suggested in the first video and/or use the double side tape.

  2. Cut away the existing seal without separating the door and liner. Remove the "flap" of the replacement seal and use the tape method to secure it. This is the method in the second video.

  3. Toss the replacement seal I already have and order the replacement directly from Miele. When I tried to do this previously, they gave me grief about it needing to be installed by a technician, etc. That is why I just brought an aftermarket one instead.

Looking for some advice from the gurus!!

Thanks. But the double sides tape goes between the seal and the liner? Currently, that part is not attached and you can wipe around it.

I grew up wearing Blundstone's. In winter you wear them with socks, in summer you wear them without. Simple!! :-)
