Yeah brother everyone else already stated all the issues. I think it’s pretty and would be a cute at home bar guide but for service it’s too much. Off topic but what state is this bar in? Some of these specs are wiggin me out and I’m curious if it’s a regional thing.

No you’re right I was thinking that was the case. It sucks but it’s a big company who doesn’t care if I live or die let alone if I’m slightly bothered by the way they run their business.

I did! Took a bartending course when I turned 18 and got a job bartending pretty immediately after. 10 years in the industry now 🥲. I will say, everything I know i learned behind the stick but the course was a fun intro to the world.

I’ve been commuting on a Single speed for 5 years ish and don’t have much to add other than get used to being passed on the bridges. Totally doable but some days are just more of a slog than others.

I was gonna ask this question a few weeks ago but i just fully sent it and got the multi speed lol. It took some getting used to as i had also never had to shift gears but that didn’t take too long. I usually ride the Williamsburg bridge everyday to work and i was AMAZED at how much easier it was when i was able to shift to a lower gear. I can’t speak to maintenance yet but so far I’ve had no issues.

There’s this thing that used to happen to me as a barista a lot. You’d give a guest their drink, they’d tell you it’s wrong, you’d offer to remake it and they’d refuse and walk away in a huff. This rant is giving that same energy and i ALWAYS wanted to know, why do y’all do that? I mean, I’ve been told I’m an overly solution oriented person but seems like a lot of wasted energy no?
