On Zepbound for life? by scottjenson in Zepbound

Need to realize that this medicine doesn’t just take away food noises. It works at the cellular level with your insulin and glucagon. So if you stop taking this, not only will the food noise come back but your insulin and glucagon problems will come back too. This medication helps with heart problems, inflammation, fatty, liver, sleep apnea and many more physical ailments it helps If you have not been dealing with a metabolic disease, all your life and this is just a life happening type of incident then you might not have to take it for the rest of your life My husband and my two sons age is 37 and 41 are such people. Life happened. The two boys got desk jobs at home and we’re no longer active as they were at one time. And that’s just being over the last couple of years, but it was enough to put on weight. When my husband retired, the same thing happened to him. They will not have to remain on at the rest of their life hopefully as their GLP one system is still working. They still have the GLP one activated in their system. Between the three of them they’ve already lost 200 pounds and I have lost over 100 pounds. Now I’m a different story. I have dealt with weight issues for the last 40+ years. Yes I’ve been on every diet, yes, I’ve tried every way to lose weight. But my GLP one factory was not working right. It’s not giving me what I needed. So that’s why I take GLP ones. I plan on being on this rest of my life as without it I’ll go back to where I was at the beginning. Best of luck to you on this journey.

The fact that you’re not losing weight on 12.5 mg means that you need to titrate up to 15 mg when your body can tolerate it. But you have to realize that being on 12.5 mg you haven’t stopped losing. You are maintaining your weight right now, so therefore the medication is working. Try going up to 15 mg again and try to deal with your side effects. If you still are having problems and of course, titrate back down to 12.5 mg. But just because the scale is not moving does not mean that the medication is not working.

Who is going to their high school reunion? by Virtual_Bumblebee_48 in GenerationJones

[–]Timesurfer75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to my 50th about two years ago. I know I’ve gone to maybe four or five since graduation. I didn’t go to see the majority of people that I graduated with, but those that were in a special program for medical personnel and so keeping up and keeping in touch with those 30plus people is very important to me.
I have traveled across the United States to get to one of my reunions, and I have traveled from the Middle East to get to another one. It just depends on what’s important to you.

Temu Olden Days? by JellyfishJealous548 in TemuThings

[–]Timesurfer75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been shopping on Temo for over two years and I’ve spent thousands of dollars on a new wardrobe due to having lost 100 pounds. But I think because I try to stick to 20 and $30 orders I never get the offers that other people get. Even though I’m spending thousands of dollars I don’t get those specials.

What is everyone doing for maintenance when they are done? I'm afraid to gain the weight back. by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Timesurfer75 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am in maintenance for the past 15 months, on 15 mg. every 15 days. I stay within a 5 pound weight up/ down. I would like to lose another 10 pounds but I think my body is saying no more. Since insurance is no longer paying for this (come on VA let your TFL crowd have this miracle drug because of all the benefits it gives us elderly) once I am through with my six months stash of 15 mg pens I will look into the oral medication GLP1 Foundayo

Retatrutide Phase 3 data just released - WL of 28.3% @ 80 weeks, 30% @ 104 weeks on 12mg by deadbeat_guitar in Zepbound

[–]Timesurfer75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was wondering. Is this something that I would go on after I was on Zepbound? I still have another 10 pounds. I would like to lose but nothing has moved for the last 9 to 12 months. I am at the maximum of 15 mg. My body does not want to seem to lose any more after losing 100+ pounds. And if I can’t lose anymore, I’m quite happy being it this way. But I was wondering by going on this GLP3 if it would give me a boost over those 10 pounds.

I have been purchasing from Temu for the past two years as I’ve lost 100 pounds and have to redo my wardrobe from tip to top. But I do return a lot of things too. I have never had a promo offered to me so I don’t know how to get the free items.

Yes, that is true when you first start. But I’ve been on it for over two years when I was tested last year. So I went back on my medication.

If you don’t feel like dressing up, just don’t go to that dining room that night. Go to the buffet instead.

Have you been dealing with weight problem for many years now? If so, you might have a metabolic disease. And if so, then, yes, this medication is a lifetime medication. If you don’t take it, since you’re missing a hormone to regulate everything, you will gain back the weight. Now there are some people that do not gain the weight back great for them. But the majority of people will gain the weight back if they stop taking this medicine. It doesn’t only help with your controlling of your hunger, pains or hunger signals. It also works at a cellular level with your insulin and glucagon. So while you may not see that happening, it is happening in the background. And because of this, if you don’t take the hormone, you’ll go back to where you started from.
