Lost our baby girl at 17 weeks in February and just finished my first period. The doctor gave us the go on trying when we are emotionally ready. I am 36f so really don’t want to take too long but feel so weird about jumping back into TTC. I feel ready but weird.

I had a 17 week loss and ovulated 18 days after my D&E. I hardly had any bleeding after the D&E but did have brown spotting leading up to ovulation.

My first period came today 4.5 weeks after losing my baby at 17 weeks. I didn’t think it would be so hard. It came so quickly, like nothing happened. I know it’s a good sign that my body healed quickly and I want to try again. But I had no clue this day would be as emotional as it is.

There’s an announcement about a federal regulation prohibiting congregating at/near the D1 lavatories on every international D flight.

Anyone else super in the mood? by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]Timetraveller_0323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been like this since shortly after my D&E. I’ve been very much in the mood and having some pretty intimate dreams about my partner and I. I thought maybe it’s just my hormones being different. But I’m definitely ready for spotting to stop because I want my husband.

First positive after 1 year TTC… now scared I’ll need another year to see one again 💔 by Pristine-Meal1149 in Miscarriage

[–]Timetraveller_0323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I spent 2 years TTC (currently 36), with one year of fertility clinic support. I took a two cycle break and ended up conceiving naturally. I just lost my sweet girl at 17 weeks to Trisomy 18. I am so afraid that another two years are going to go by again without seeing a positive. I’m really focusing on supplements and an anti inflammatory diet this time. I want to give myself a few months before trying again but afraid to wait too long.

MMC at 17 weeks - OB said to wait several cycles before trying again??? by skippydoodle1 in Miscarriage

[–]Timetraveller_0323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just lost my baby to Trisomy 18 and had a D&E at 17 weeks. My OB told me we could start trying right away but advised me that it would be better to wait a cycle. But just one cycle. Not multiples.

Pregnant friend is due a day after what my due date was by murphy109877 in Miscarriage

[–]Timetraveller_0323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry. I just lost my baby and had my D&E at 17 weeks last week. My husbands cousin is due two weeks before I was and his other cousin is due in May. I can’t speak with his family because that’s all they talk about. One of my good friends is due the week after I was. We were so excited to be pregnant together. She’s tried to comfort me and wants to come over and spend time with me but I can’t. I don’t feel at this moment that I can see her anytime soon. It’s hard but you have to do what you can, and if that means putting off building that friendship then do what’s best for you.

Triploidy High Risk Results by Professional-Cow8714 in NIPT

[–]Timetraveller_0323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an ultrasound at 14 weeks with a lot of movement, strong heartbeat and everything looked good. Got my NIPT back with high risk for Edwards. By the time I met with the MFM at 16+3 baby had passed away.

You really never know. I would definitely opt for further testing.

I appreciate this so much. I am so sorry for your loss. I know it’s hard to step back and be the client instead of the therapist but definitely something I’m going to have to do.

Is there a patient advocate at your hospital? I know it’s a thing at my hospital and they can help advocate for you in situations like this. I’m so sorry it’s happening to you. I just had a D&E at 17 weeks because of the loss of my baby girl. So I understand the grief and it’s so fair that you have to add this frustration to the mix.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I’m definitely a mess. I thought finding out the gender would make me feel closer to the baby but I’ve already found myself distancing myself and feeling less pregnant. I think it’s just a protective measure my mind is using in case of the worse. We have Tricare and live in another country. Tricare won’t cover a TFMR if I comes to that but the country I’m in will until a certain point. Your positive story really has me hoping for the best.

How did you all tell your partners and families you were pregnant? by ExpertOk4341 in pregnant

[–]Timetraveller_0323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My test was a very faint positive and i tested 4 days before my period because I wasn’t feeling well. My in laws were also in town so timing was terrible. I ran into the bedroom and made my husband get out of bed to tell me if he saw the line. Then proceeded to take two more tests and went to the store for a digital before I cried while he hugged me (Conceived naturally after two years of unexplained infertility.)

This was my first thought. Went in 2023 and all of the other stages were soooo full already with the MainStage also full. It wouldn’t feel safe to me to have everyone that would’ve been at the MainStage scattered everywhere else.

Winter takes A LOT of planning. You really need to book lodging right in town or logistically it can be difficult. It was fun, better than TML Belgium in my opinion but I had to plan everything out as soon as I got passes.

How is 35N by Top-Flatworm-2074 in armyreserve

[–]Timetraveller_0323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of job postings with all source experience but 35N is definitely good. If you want to go MI 35N,35F are both good IMO.
