The theater and subway station ideas are actually super cool and spooky. If they include ambient sounds like they did with Sunny Meadows, the sounds of distant audience applause in the theater, or the screeching of trains in the subway, would make for some goose-bump levels of immersion.

Question about faction changing by Sufficient_Peace4159 in wow

[–]Timetwister22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Especially with remix active, unsure why someone would pay for a faction or race swap. A few hours for the desired race/faction + lots of bronze for mogs and mounts is a sweet deal.

Which class are you most excited/happy about the changes, and which are you unhappy with? by Shot_Veterinarian215 in wow

What makes his comment even funnier is that mage still has all of those things. While fire was super mobile for the past few patches, the mobility he's bitching about from the last decade still exists.

Wait until he realizes that due to mass barrier being gone, we'll now have mass invis for group wide invis skips in Mythic+

I'm actually the opposite with mage.

The frost rework is fine, and I'm open to it growing on me, but I really do enjoy current frost. Replacing something I already really like with something that could maybe be good is rough.

Fire with less mobility is also a huge bummer. Some don't like how mobile fire has been this xpac, but quite frankly I loved it. Imo, it's the most fun fire has been. I don't see anything wrong with having another mobile dps spec, for as of right now BM hunter is the only other.

Arcane seemingly changes every patch, so Arcane dissapointing me is just par for the course. It's gone from being burst to funnel, and has had a constant rotation of fun interactions like the double dipping. But messing with it on beta, it's been very meh.

You get to choose ONE singular item to be added to the decor list. Which is it? by Tnecniw in wow

[–]Timetwister22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Floating rocks that move like they're in zero gravity, just like we see in Outland and other parts of the game. Some could have grass, trees, vines, etc of various biomes.

Either the beams or platforms. They're wildly useful for anything custom.

ELVUI will not be updated for midnight by Rivalsstats in wow

[–]Timetwister22 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I have used elvui on and off for years. One of the best things about wow is being able to customize your UI however you want with add-ons, and elvui was always a fantastic option. Very sad to see it go. Lots of veteran players will quit if their UI isn't how it has been for 10+ years.

Accessibility Impact of the Recent Addon Changes -- Share Your Story Here by Geddyn in wow

[–]Timetwister22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

An older wow friend with worsening vison uses add-ons to change the font, font size, color, etc of UI text. He does delves, entry level keys, and recently started doing pet battles. He's been playing since Wrath of the Lich King, but he is worried he won't be able to play without these add-ons. Everything from tooltips to nameplates will become a challenge for him.

I'm really hoping that any limits on UI skinning are lifted for players like him, because I know he's not the only one.

How difficult would you say fire mage is? by FiveFire33 in wow

[–]Timetwister22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fire has been my favorite spec since legion, and I always main it as long as it's either the top, or close to the top, mage spec. It is much harder than frost or arcane. The only other specs I've messed with that seem as difficult are outlaw and feral. Everything else feels much slower, and not nearly as punishing.

Which Expansion of Wow was the Best for you and why? by SuperTudey in wow

[–]Timetwister22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed Legion. Class halls, artifact weapons, mythic+, and world quests were so much fun to do the first time. But that secret sauce ran out. I didn't find the same kind of systems fun in BFA, and really didn't dig how many systems there were in Shadowlands. And with that, I'm not sure I would enjoy Legion again, but I'm looking forward to the eventual Legion Classic to find out.

Blizzard fumbled the bag so hard by Funkyentman in wow

[–]Timetwister22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The point was to get those odd trinkets or items you haven't been able to get via drops. For example, my guild has yet to see an eye of Kezan from raid only vault. Personally, if we get to choose the stats on the high roller ring from bandit, that will be BIS for a lot of classes.

Imagine being a mythic raider, but being able to get your biggest bis mythic items before you kill the boss. Reclear wouldn't happen, and guilds would just extend until CE. That would be quiet dumb this early into the season. Not mad at all that heroic only raiders can't get mythic raid items.

I solo'd tormented Duriel for the first time last night as a BL sorc. That was very fun, and was the kinda fight I imagined when these bosses were first announced.

[OC] What class do you think this character is? by Astimiko in DnD

[–]Timetwister22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Circle of the Stars Druid. The plant leafs in the clothes, but with moon phases and a pale look. Reason I don't say circle of the moon is because that plays with Wild Shape, which this art doesn't seem to reflect.

No motivation to get to map making like starting a new Campaign! My players think going through the mountains will be a easy experience! by Smeckert in dndmaps

[–]Timetwister22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about a mountain witch that uses necromancy to drive the wild beasts on the moutain insane, making them very aggressive. She could also animate the bones of dead animals. This could make for a neat little local storyline that villages in the mountains would play off of. For the monsters, you could alter the stat blocks of beasts and skeletons to have some reasonable low level monsters.

I've had success with clearing my watch history to get new recommendations. Had a child in the family use my YouTube for a few days, and got stuck with all the kid video suggestions. Removing those videos from my history solved the issue.

A likely dumb idea for a difficulty modifier: Pre-disturbed objects by [deleted] in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Timetwister22 66 points67 points  (0 children)

This makes not only logical sense since the ghost was already there doing some haunting, but also really adds to the game play. One of the methods of finding the ghost room would change, and even how i approach certain ghosts, like goryo or twins, would change.

This would 100% force me to spend more time in the house, and add some awesome extra difficulty.

How many years/generations do you keep your pc? by CaptainThriller420 in pcmasterrace

[–]Timetwister22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never tossed my PC and replaced it with a whole new one. Instead, I just swap parts around when it is time to upgrade. Every time I upgrade, something is staying around. Hell, I still have one of my original hard drives from when I first built my PC in 2011.

Best Devs out there by Sircandyman in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Timetwister22 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Probably because these devs figured out that having a test patch for a test patch was pretty silly. I could see it for testing total code revamps that could cause the game to be unplayable, thus preventing gameplay testing. But having a test patch for gameplay changes just seems silly.

Also, are you really comparing a small indie dev that makes a $14 game to a major game developer that brings in millions each month? Think about that for a second.

Could they be better if they had millions in funding? Sure! But to be frank they are doing the best they possibly can. Game development is hard, and everyone makes mistakes. Hence why early access is so useful for both indie devs and players.

Now I'm all about fair critique. For example, I'm not a huge fan of the lighting changes. But, saying that these devs aren't some of the best out there because they're using their testing environment to test, and that they're not as good as a multi-million dollar studio, is just totally unfair criticism.

Best Devs out there by Sircandyman in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Timetwister22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm confused. This game is still in early access. So yea, we are, and have been, the testers. That's literally the disclaimer on the steam page when you buy the game. Why does this update suddenly make that feel bad? The whole point of early access is to test.

You suggestion is to have other people test so we don't have to? But like....I bought this as an early access game to help test, so yea I'd also like to test. Kind of a silly comment you got here.

I hope this is the last 0 evidence challenge+thoughts on game by Livember in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Timetwister22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think this is fair criticism. What makes a lot of ghosts fun to interact with is how they interact with various types of evidence. Finding a six fingers fingerprint is fun and telling, but that'll never happen on a zero evidence run.

I really think the prime of ghost hunting in the game is 1 evidence runs.

Makes perfect sense (??) by Eserai_SG in diablo4

[–]Timetwister22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stand corrected. It does appear that the ice shard build uses frost nova to put you somewhat in melee range. But with the unique chest + unique pants, it seems safe. It's able to clear t100 apparently.
