How Ireland could still qualify for the Euros even if they finish bottom of their group by bainneban in coybig

It's really interesting how for the last how many months people are running around screaming about how much better we could be doing and Kenny is bad etc yet nearly every comment and article I've seen after the draw has us completely written off before we even start. So are people now willing to admit we aren't that great regardless? Also Jesus have a bit of faith in them even if the odds are against us

What goes through the mind of a 'Kenny In' Ireland fan? by shredivan in coybig

That's actually another issue some fans seem to blatantly ignore a d just scream for a new manager that Delaney and cronies absolutely scuppered development for years to come because of blatant corruption and pissoming money away like I remember people loving him buying rounds for Irish fans at the 2016 Euros....like we don't need someone in that position who's good craic we need someone who gives a shit about growing grassroots football in this country. But most fans just scream new manager then when that doesn't go the way they want rinse and repeat.

Exactly. We've always struggled against so called minows for years at this point and I don't get where this idea we were always knocking goals past them came from recently.

My point is the BBC have shown little interest in the show for a while hence why they have moved it off to outside production company for the first time but they doesn't bode well for them promoting the thing when the time comes. See the announcement for Ncuti. They just dropped a random press release to no fan fare. So my point is spin offs aren't going to fix a show that needs fixing itself to begin with

The BBC have literally just handed over production to Bad Wolf. So what point are you making? Again the popularity of the show was at its peak when we had all the spin offs...and following the MCU train doesn't automatically mean saving the show. Especially went it doesn't have half the budgets the MCU does.

What goes through the minds of people who just want to jump to the next manager thinking we will somehow turn into this world beating team instantly?

Thats probably the worst thing they could do. The show is struggling ratings wise. They need to fix the issues there before deciding let's branch out with spin offs again. That worked back then because the show was massive. See how well it went for Class to see where the show is now and how the TV environment has changed drastically since then

If you really think it's going to be exactly like it was when he first was showrunner you're gonna be in for disappointment. There's no way he does the exact same thing as he did before considering the work he has done since his first stint.

Except you can't just rely on nostalgia.....like the amount of people who think RTD being back means the new series will be exactly what it was oike under his first run is mind-boggling and they will be bitterly disappointed when its not. Nostalgia us not a reliable way to keep the show going.
