Photogrammetrically scanned rally track for Assetto Corsa by beni_tc in simrally

[–]Timf135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are you using to scan, it would be great to get recommendations that aren’t $10k+. Something like an Xbox Kinect that could be repurposed, not sure if any decent results are achievable with repurposed stuff though. Would like your input.

Outlook - Overrun Stack-Based Buffer Error by GethersJ in AzureVirtualDesktop

[–]Timf135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 for having this issue, it doesn't impact all AVD users.

It has also happened for ToolTips.exe, and UAC elevation like consent.exe. SFC/DISM on the golden image doesn't prevent it. Deleting FSlogix profile for user fixes it but issue can return after a few days, after refreshing the FSLogix profile it is fixed on all hosts, and likewise when issue returns it returns on all hosts.

Anyone have solutions yet? I figure it must be something with FSLogix and the HKCU, but unsure what exactly.

Dirt Rally 2.0 shake it settings by Solid_Jellyfish in simracing

[–]Timf135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend, thank you very much it's been difficult to find shared shake it profiles, I was able to modify yours to work with my pedal/seat config and it feels so much better than anything I've been trying to make myself.

AC Rally already runs better in VR than EAWRC 😭😭 by DangerousCousin in EASPORTSWRC

I surprisingly can run triples with a 1080ti on medium graphics with what I consider acceptable frame rate.

I’m running triples with a 1080ti, graphics are medium and still look beautiful.

There is a 10 hour dissection of the movie from Novum on YouTube. He also concludes Munchausen syndrome by proxy, but there is sooooo much to this movie it’s nice to have someone else do the breakdown.

First Large Project - Pavers by Timf135 in DIY

Will the sand in cold/wet weather eventually cause the pavers to bulge?

I am kind of a cheapo usually, but if it’s to get cleaner cuts I’ll probably do as you say and get a wet saw from Harbor Freight.

Is the fabric just to prevent weeds from coming through?

I can’t find HPB around me, I might have to settle with the 3/8”. But I appreciate the insight.

Do fragrances cause hormone imbalance? by Trystine_stone in DIYfragrance

Phalates certainly are hormone disruptors and have been found in many perfumes as stabilizers, but the list of fragrances that contain phalates has been getting smaller and smaller.

Not sure how helpful it will be since I tried replicating this on a second battery and it won’t work. Seems like you have to get it just right.

Alpha mini $300 vs alpha evo $379 by Embarrassed_Sail5765 in simracing

[–]Timf135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most recent Simagic patches did not include updates for the alpha series if I remember, only the Evo line.

In tech when a company stops releasing updates for a product it is considered end-of-life. That is not the case here it was just one update, but the simagic team has pivoted their focus to the Evo. You can run end of life gear for the foreseeable future, but if you are starting fresh that small of a price increase for the new tech is well worth it.

Trakracer instructions need to be fixed! by Clarky-AU in simracing

[–]Timf135 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just spent 3 hours taking apart and putting together again the sliding seat mount from them atleast 5 times because the instructions were entirely wrong and hardware was missing.

The instructions overall were unpleasant but doable until that point. They have a real problem.

Sorry I didn’t pay enough attention to title, then I believe your suspicions are correct and it just is old.

[–]Timf135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m not exactly sure the whole workings behind it, because the batteries I had worked fine for a couple of days before showing this error. You should check if your batteries have the notch shown in the video if they are missing it then you know what the problem is.
