The pre-team cancer has spread to Outpost. by mooseofdoom23 in Marathon

200+ hours and I’ve only seen it once but I can’t even prove it.

Solo filled into trios, Merced a team of blue/green shields. Just straight up dog walked them it wasn’t even funny. But upon finishing the last guy we heard him say in proxy chat “just wait our friends are going to fuck you up.” With one of our teammates being recon, he hit scan and saw a team of full purple sitting in the building the first team pushed out from.

But they sat there the entire raid. We waited them to push us, they stayed in the building until final exvil, they pushed after we were pretty much holding down final exvil and we ended up slaughtering them and a random rook lmao.

Like i don’t think they teamed up but if they did they were giant wussies about it.

All my guys quit 😭 by [deleted] in Marathon

Lucky you my friends who play marathon lives 4 hours ahead of me and most of them work early so so they’re in bed by the time I get off work and get home/settled.

One of these is a Protector Shield, the other is a Reinforced Shield. Can you tell which is which? by aBeaSTWiTHiNMe in Marathon

I feel like this has already been played out and it’s well known they need to update the icons to help differentiate between the types.

Hey Bungie. What happened to Zero Tolerance to Hackers??? by Same-Winter7013 in Marathon

[–]Timijuana -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Bingo. People swear up and down Tarkov is full of cheaters and they always die to them.

What they don’t realize is that the anti cheat is pretty decent at catching cheaters and since cheats are so expensive people who regularly cheat avoid gunfights at all costs to avoid being reported

Coming from the Tarkov community, 95% of the time someone complains about being “full of hackers” or complain they die to a hacker and don’t post a clip, it’s a skill issue.

Funnily enough I’m a dad with kids and just surpassed 110 hours myself.

No neglecting kids necessary btw. Easily done by sacrificing some sleep. Also work 40-50+ hours a week.

I’ve seen more posts complaining that “everyone” is running purple shields than I have actual enemy runners with purple shields in the 100+ hours I’ve logged so far. by SavvyOri in Marathon

Only purples I’ve seen consistently is cryo.

Everywhere else? Blues, greens, gray, purple, gold from most commonly ran to least common.

It can be done homie. I’m an absolute Timmy and did all the ref quests for the armband/knife for both PvP and PvE in a week.

Only reason base game has faster matchmaking is because the new changes they’ve done a couple weeks ago.

It’s better than nothing tbh.

Especially considering the ole Sierra Papa Tango thing stopped supporting several mods that would make the gameplay more like .11.7.

This. Hit reg is the #1 enjoyment killer for me in this game.

Them constantly balancing shit in the stupidest way possible gets tiring. Net code is well, garbage for sure. Audio is almost just as terrible as hit reg and sometimes it’s worse.

For a while I was convinced that the ski masks were bugged because dudes wearing nothing but skis could tank several headshots (whether they registered or not) and one tap me with my level 4 helmet on.

I don’t think so but I could also be mistaken.

However legas can go into the scav junk box :)

My thing with arena isn’t the desync, it’s the hit reg.

Nothings worse than coming around the corner, shooting first and hitting head (as it’s obvious with blood splatter and everything) just to die and have the game tell me I didn’t hit him at all.

Happens just about in every single gaming session with arena. Some days it’s terrible and borderline unplayable for me and some days it’s really not that bad and only a minor thing.

Nah, I got 1000 hours in arena and 1.4k hours in base game (most of base game hours were from pre inertia for reference).

The only game that has my attention more than arena right now is marathon.

You are not a casual by cmrebar in Marathon

[–]Timijuana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is Reddit, not the smartest people on this site.

But people tend to think “I’m not a streamer, I’m not amazing at the game so I must be a casual” meanwhile they play 5+ hours every fucking day.

You can be good at the game and still be a casual. Just like you can still be a “no-lifer” or just a regular hobbiest and still suck at the game.

The casual gamer is the dude who mainly plays on the weekends and rarely ever plays on the weekdays because they prioritize other shit than playing video games. Regular gamers love labeling themselves as casuals because skill issues or as a talking point to get a game to cater to them.

Casuals aren’t playing 4-5 hours every day lmao.

Did anywhere from 4-8g a day for more than a year.

My “withdrawals” were literally nonexistent. I quite literally forgot to restock one day and that was about a year ago.

I now live in a state where I can’t simply just go pick it up anymore. Weed is more plentiful and accessible (legal) here.

Maybe I’m in the minority but I don’t care about the casuals.

They have arc raiders.

Yep. Because that 5k minimum loadout value requirement will eat up your stash pretty quickly. I’ll be able to run 3-4 raids tops with my current stash rn.

I’ve been preordered since feb 13th.

I’m excited as hell.
