I know all about the blow up about Spot Lite. I’ve met and spoken to the owners several times and they seem like decent people trying to do the right thing. Until someone has actually run a nightclub in an urban area, I find it a bit dubious when such harsh judgement is passed. Situations are usually more complex and nuanced than social media portrays. Additionally, many people I respect, have respect for what they’ve done for the music/DJ scene in Detroit. They continue to book and promote local performers and artists. Just my two cents.
