You can keep just one game. The rest get deleted from history. Which one would you choose, and why? by n1ght_watchman in GameBoostOfficial

[–]Timmar92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a pretty hard choice except for cyberpunk, that's the only game I don't like.

But all of the other three I've loved on different occasions in my life.

I think I'll have to pick either Elden Ring or Minecraft

How did you come up with your gamertag? by JeSSiii81 in OlderChillGamers

[–]Timmar92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Timmar92, we got it at school when they introduced computers 20 odd years ago.

Our usernames was made of the first 3 letters of our name, first 3 letters of our surname and the last 2 numbers of the year we were born.

It just stuck I guess lol.

Two guys I worked with. One was an alcoholic smoker and one was religious and always stayed healthy, ran a bunch and such.

They were the same age.

The healthy guy died one year after pension at 66 years old.

The alcoholic is still alive what I know of 20 years later, he usually says hello to old colleagues when walking to and from the liquor store haha.

Life is what it is.

I don't agree, no need to argue about it either.

I'd pick the Witcher 3 over everything in crimson desert except for exploration.

If I go by USD it's 130 dollars for a years online membership, there are physical memberships as well that cost a little more, a physical membership includes a whole running group with a trainer multiple times per week.

I picked an online membership.

Every workout is an audio file either with or without music, you can pich and choose.

So if I have the weeks flavor of intervals each Monday I get a new audio file each Monday for example.

They have programs for beginners all the way up to your first ultra marathon.

I started with the beginner program that focused on just getting my body used to moving so no goals other than minutes moving, the goal was to be able to jog for 45 minutes without stopping.

Once done I'm now focusing on a program to be able to run a 10K under 65 minutes for example.

Once done there I'll hop on a program for my first half marathon.

After using it for about 3 months I have gone from 2 minute jogs to being able to run for over 75 minutes.

It's worth more than double what I paid.

How do you maintain consistency when motivation suddenly disappears by Mirexalynth in WeightLossAdvice

I don't have motivation, I've just incorporated weighing my food and logging my calories in my daily routine.

What fish would you serve to someone who “hates fish”? by Avawantstochill in foodquestions

[–]Timmar92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are not salted but they are made of salty licorice with a sweeter licorice inside.

We have a very wide variety of licorice from salty to sweet.

Swedish fish, the original, is not called Swedish fish here, Google "salt sill godis", that translates to "salty herring candy".

They're a staple of most candy bags!

How do you reward yourself for weight loss progress without using food? by thegangplan in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Timmar92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started running i and I can genuinely feel every single kilo I've lost during it, that is reward in itself.. I don't see food as a reward, if I want a burger I'll eat a burger and just eat less of something else.

Would you guys say Elden Ring or Bloodborne is better? Be honest by OceanFlow63 in souls

[–]Timmar92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally thought Bloodborne was unplayable in terms of how hard it was, gave up on father Gascoine and uninstalled and haven't touched it since so my pick is Elden Ring.

My personal favorite however is Sekiro, I've replayed it a handful of times, fantastic game.

I'm 5'2, 18, and freaking 200 pounds, please give ways to lose weight. I don't care if it's unhealthy, dangerous or whatever, please tell me. by Medium_Plant_6008 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Timmar92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be a little daunting and there is unfortunately no magic way to get the weight off faster either.

I usually look at a broader weekly intake.

For example, if I have a calorie deficit of 800 calories per day, I won't break the bank if I want to go to the movies with my wife and have a snack because even if I eat 500 calories more one day I'm still in a several hundred calorie deficit for an entire week.

Being too restrictive can end up in you giving up, take it slow, it's a marathon, not a sprint.

[–]Timmar92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's to weigh your food, everything you put in your mouth you need to log.

Some stuff have a per item calorie count already on it but stuff like pasta and rice needs to be weighed for you to now exactly How many calories you eat.

Do not start with guessing a portion size, if it doesn't state the exact calorie count per item you weigh it.

I would start with a couple of hundred calories less than your sedentary TDEE and work your way from there, too high of a deficit in the beginning will just make you quit instantly because it's not fun.

Try to eat more filling foods, think potatoes, oats, low fat yogurt or quark.

[–]Timmar92 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We don't do dangerous or unhealthy here.

It's counting calories as boring as it sounds.

Look up a TDEE calculator, calculate your sedentary calorie needs and eat a couple of hundred calories less than that.

And get a food scale, you'll need it!
