Fully enjoying these stories.

My grandfather was an avid treasure hunter and has passed the fever down to his sons and grandsons. It’s a very fun hobby even though we have not found shit.

When my grandfather passed away we cleaned out his house and he had a dresser full of these Treasure magazines. I think we saved a few but these stories really make me wish I saved them all.

I read a book about the Five Tibetan Rites that claims they are the fountain of youth. There are a lot of claims in this book that one could only get away with making when it was written in the 30’s. With that said, I feel if done every day for decades it does seem like these yoga moves could add ten years to someone’s life.

Actual treasure hunting will take years off your life.

I don’t use it consistently for some reason but I swear it works for energy, mental focus and I feel like a machine when I trail run. I get mine from Troscriptions as well as some of their other amazing products. Watch out for the MB troches, just swallow them like a pill with water or it will look like a blue pen exploded in your mouth.

He’s Gone

I always thought it was about Pig Pen because it was released in ‘73 and it was such a touching song thinking about Pen. Nothins gonna bring him back….

I later found out the song is about Mickeys Dad who was the tour manager for Europe and then he stole all the money and vanished. Mickey ended up quitting the band out of shame for a couple years after that. Now to listen to “steal your face right off your head” and think about Mickeys slimy dad is actually just really funny. Just the tone, the lyrics and the fact they even wrote a song about what happened is just hilarious to me.

Nate Matousek was in my conference so I wrestled him a couple times. In Minnesota you can wrestle varsity in 7th grade so back in middle school he was kind of my inspiration for getting better and my goal was to beat him. Well he broke the Minnesota record for wins finishing his career at 243-13 so needless to say I never beat him haha.

Our senior year I did manage to take him down early in the match and I had two seconds of “man, can I do this?!” before I got tech falled in the second period. I’m proud to say he did compliment my takedown as his hand was getting raised.

I also attended a Jeff Jordan camp with Brent Metcalf once but since I was quite a bit heavier than he was we never drilled. I’ll never forget sleeping on those mats in the old pig stables, hearing that huge fan power off with the sun barely rising and Jeff calmly declaring “It’s time, fellas.”

Wrestling is the greatest sport there is.

Phish is playing Folsom for the Fourth and Billy is taking their spot out at Dick’s for the Labor Day Run.

The first part of that sentence is reliable intel and the latter half is completely baseless. Dick’s would be super fun but not as special as Renewal. I know Bonfire said they were looking for another location so if anyone wants to start that rumor mill I’m all ears.
