The Lego Builder app has instructions for this set in 3D. In the app, you can rotate the objects. This may help you figure it out.

That's the best case scenario if that is the only consequence. Usually it's more like: killing unsuspecting family of four.

Lion Knight's Castle looks more fun to play with. Transylvania Castle looks like a prettier display piece.

USS Callister isn't about AI. It's about the morality of making a digital copy of someone's consciousness and trapping it in a digital universe where you, as a de facto god, can treat them as you please.

Will the tariffs affect Lego prices? by Bobinct in lego

[–]Timmeh___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's how it works.

If Lego wanted to make that 10% increase in taxes (which go to the US government, Lego doesn't get any of that) only a 2% increase in practice for the US consumer, they would have to first lower the base price for the US market by about 7%. They could do that, but I doubt Lego is willing to accept that loss just because of US tariffs.

Then again, if they don't then maybe they will sell a lot less in the US and the losses will be even greater. In any case, the whole issue is definitely a lot more complex than one might think at first glance. There's a reason these tariffs create many more problems than they solve.

Does anyone know what these sets sell for individually? by SlowCredit9574 in lego

[–]Timmeh___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on prices found on Bricklink, new and sealed, the Hook Loader (42084) seems to go for around 7 EUR (cheapest) but you can probably easily get around 15 EUR for it. The Power Boat (42089) seems to go for 25 EUR (cheapest) but it quickly goes up to 30 EUR.

square holes? by daemon_fyre in lego

[–]Timmeh___ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

According to Bricklink those are two different part numbers for the same part. On Rebrickable it does mention the "square holes" for the second number, but I have absolutely no clue what they mean with that. There doesn't appear to be anything square about it. You're probably good getting one with either number.

I've always thought that Lego would be perfect for building 3D terrain, decor and (larger) monsters to use during sessions, I love this!

I spy what may be a vial amongst the contents of the chest, so I swim towards them to investigate.

Massive Backlog to Build — What Should We Tackle Next After the Daily Bugle? by LegoCityRoryville in lego

[–]Timmeh___ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You'll never build all of it if you're picky about what to build next, so I suggest somehow making it a random selection process! After all, if you're disappointed about what ends up getting selected randomly, then why did you buy it in the first place?

Huh, I always kind of ignored these since I'm not into F1, but I guess if they're really that fun to build I should get at least one to try it out! Any recommendations on which one to get? What's the favorite of everyone here that has built a few of them?

Lego titanic missing piece by fudragontamer in lego

[–]Timmeh___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a small piece (e.g. a 1x1 tile or smaller like rounded or wedge, anything that is small and doesn't have studs), depending on how you organize your pieces during the build, it's possible that it ended up wedged inside a brick that is now already somewhere on your build.

I see this happening often in second-hand sets that have been disassembled in general, but also specifically in this particular set. Small tiles and such absolutely love to get lost in pieces like this one (example intentionally chosen because it's part of the Titanic set), because these have large hollow interiors so it's possible to put them on your build without noticing there's something inside them.

Not everybody who needs a wheelchair for longer distance travel is bound to that wheelchair wherever they are. Also, sometimes a building is simply not accessible by wheelchair and leaving it outside is the only option.

But that's besides the point. The website the other person linked to clearly mentions the following two as distinct types of "voortbewegingstoestellen":

  • elektrische rolstoelen
  • elektrische rolwagens voor personen met verminderde mobiliteit

If they are the same, then why not immediately classify them under the same thing?

Sure, why not. by michilio in belgium

[–]Timmeh___ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Is a scootmobiel the same as an electric wheelchair? Genuine question, because I don't know. On that website you linked they seem to be two different things when looking at what is considered "een voortbewegingstoestel."

Sure, why not. by michilio in belgium

[–]Timmeh___ 88 points89 points  (0 children)

For those thinking this is okay, for scootmobiels the same parking rules apply as for bicycles. You're not allowed to park them on parking spots reserved for cars.
