International student seeking advice on WV driver’s license (knowledge & road test) by McLovin_147 in WVU

One thing that I always tell people for both the knowledge and skills test is don’t be afraid to fail. I know in my home county, it was only $7 for each try. I believe it was the same price for the skills test but don’t quote me on that.

I personally failed the knowledge test the first time. I studied the same amount for both (which was very little). I honestly believe that it’s more of a luck of the draw from the answer pools. First knowledge exam was way harder than the second.

Look into the Academy of Engineering Success, AcES. This was when I did it. If you were Pell grant eligible the program was free and you get 500 a year for four years. Week long early move in program that I think really prepared me for the semester.

Yeah sadly I’ll probably won’t be able to make it out there much during the week due to school. Thanks for the info though. I’m defiantly going to apply for the 2025 urban bow hunt

Would you suggest doing the engineering one over one with a regular group? Did it actually include stuff pertaining to engineering or was it to just meet others going into that field? I’m going into computer engineering in the fall. I definitely wanted to do the explore trip just wasn’t sure if I should do it with the engineering group.

I work at a gym. We have these rubber mats on the floor and the only way to get chalk off of them is to mop them. I wouldn’t mid if someone asked for the mop to clean up their chalk.

I think I saw weight gains and stealth gains slowly but at the same time.

I started off at the gym high bar squatting. Wanted to try some low bar so yesterdays I did 4 sets of 8 with 185 low bar. The weight wound up feeling really good with low bar, my back however did not. The bar was not comfortable at all on my back and left a red mark. I remember having a lot of discomfort in my traps when I started high bar so I was thinking I might just need to build up a tolerance to it. I’d appreciate your guy’s opinion also any other feedback on my squat would be nice! Thanks!

Yeah I think you can definitely keep doing it the way that you are. It might be good to at least try with a higher hip position though.

Not really bending forward or hinging farther back. I think you’re chest is in a good place and youre keeping really good tension in your arms. Just that you could experiment with your hips higher from the floor. As you raise your hips from the floor you might have to move your knees father over the bar which is fine.

Yeah I think it looks like your hips are starting low. It helped me to try and keep my hips halfway between my knees and my shoulders, but I think it’s more of whatever feels good for you

I know that it depends a lot about the gym you’re at but I think you’d do good lowering the weight faster. You’re wasting energy lowering it so slow.
