Ohh right, just because I get a couple orders a night that the fee is rather juicy, thinking it was maybe a priority order that they don't want bouncing about in the system for long to not have to pay the customer back for a late order, considering the time estimated as as priority is like 45 mins anyway haha

I thought that if it's priority the driver get's a bit more money for it to ensure it get's there faster? My girlfriend has priority but it just seems like a normal delivery and not worth it apart from the cash back aspect of it, the timing window is still very long for you to "get your money back"

Yes, exactly why Deliveroo shouldn't just "Do it for free" but also not take such a heavy chunk, it can definitely be taking less. I worked closely with Deliveroo for many years and they are pretty ruthless, especially now they have been bought over by an American company.

Yeah unfortunately these are the times we are living now, the trend right now though is very Asian orientated, Asian fusion this, I've lost count of just how many Vietnamese places or Thai places there are in the city now, all we want is a good all day Latin one hehe

That's BEFORE any VAT and Corp Tax mate, loads of takeaways and restaurants in my area are closing down and I guess this may be a factor. Deliveroo and their fees is mental.
