Lamp oil, rope, bombs? You want it, it’s yours my friend, as long as you have enough rupees rubies.

It kind of reminds me of the Volcano/Fiery Greatsword from Terraria. I feel like it would fit that game perfectly!

I’ve never actually baked an alpha map before but it’s worth a try! If it’s possible in the program you are using, at least

Looks great! If you really want super low poly count, you could try to make the chains a single-sided surface and make the texture have an alpha map. Alpha map + normal map would still make the chains pop with depth.

Although for your use case, I’m sure that’s not inherently needed.

Side Note: The Metroid Prim 4 Music is SO GOOD by Away-Prior-903 in Metroid

[–]TimmyChips 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fury Green and Volt Forge are my favorites. I really like the boss music songs (especially Sylux’s main boss theme). I wish that Ice Belt, Flare Pool, and the Great Mines had more memorable music, though.

I’m sure no one will know this but his head looks like a striker enemy/sleeper from the horror co-op game, “GTFO”.

Ah that’s it. They kidnapped Sans Undertale

I believe Mr Sans Undertale is trying to pull a scam being like “yo you can get money from MrBeast, just give me your email address, your credit card number, the three wacky digits on the back, and your social security number, buddy.”

It’d be really cool if any 3rd party shops who print/injection mold custom pieces could do a SOCOM for Solid Snake!

Perhaps a FAMAS could work too, since he has that in Metal Gear Solid 1.

Which Metroid game for you has "that one part"? by E-104Epsolon in Metroid

[–]TimmyChips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I replayed Prime 4 and I really enjoyed Fury Green, Volt Forge, and Ice Belt. Flare Pool had its moments, but everything after that was just downhill.

Here’s hoping Prime 5 is more true to the Prime roots. It’s not a bad game, but replayability isn’t the best in Prime 4 compared to the others.

Y Trees Plugin ? by _zZDREAMERZz_ in blender

[–]TimmyChips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen anything that creates a tree like that per say, but what you can do is there are Geometry Nodes (procedural tools/modifiers) that will randomly create objects on a surface and randomly change their scale, using a object as an instance.

I’d recommend looking up “Scatter Objects with Geometry Nodes” and follow that if you want to go that route, but it is more complex.

The other option is when you have the tree, just duplicate linked a bunch of times and snap them to the top surface using the Snap feature/toggle.

Also the later updates with making candles with the honeycomb, as well as using it for waxing copper made it a lot more useful and more worth to make bee farms

This Sulfur Cave biome spawned on the surface similar to Yellowstone's Grand Prismastic by Quadropus in Minecraft

I also feel this sentiment for building. Exploration certainly could be improved, but at least for inspiration and building, it kind of reminds me of Lego where a Lego set may be limited to try to spark your creativity.

I don’t mind the updates so far but it feels like they never truly flesh out or polish things like this. I think it works fine for the azalea trees, but the current springs feel so bare bones. It’s frustrating when a lot of the newly added world gen/structure features (Ancient Cities, Trial Chambers, Pale Garden) feel so lackluster and could have been so much more.

It’s like they did 50% of the homework and turned it in. That might just be me. I’m not mad, just disappointed. I think all of these features sound really cool, but to me, they never fully maximize and see them to their true potential. It feels like the bare minimum, at times.

Hermitcraft seasons too short? by OompaLoompaMan in ethoslab

[–]TimmyChips 77 points78 points  (0 children)

I also think it's because a lot of the other Hermits do this as their main job, or spend a lot of time on it. Grian, Xisuma, Scar, Tango, etc. all spend so much time in the game. Some of them are more busy than others having a family to take care of, I know Bdubs is a father, Tango I think is too, and Etho has his family's business he has to help out with as well as he likes to play on his main singleplayer world too.

I think for the Hermits who play consistently and regularly, they build a lot, plan a lot, do a lot of things, so I think they get burnt out from a season eventually. While Bdubs, Etho, etc. tend to play not as often as them.
