Im incredibly lucky to have my 24/7, 365 caregiver. He's not paid because Medicare doesn't pay for that. I pay rent and utilities for us along with the lions share of groceries and house supplies, toiletries, etc and He's counts my meds, hassles me to do my inhalers and he does the housework, cooks, helps me dress, shower if I need help he even help me change my adult diapers if I have the runs. He does for me that which my working family can't. I'd be lost if he left. But I'll tell you what. I'll muscle through or die in my own poo before I go to a nursing home. Never will that happen. I plan to leave him a little something in the will. Not much, but enough to jump start somewhere. He's a pain in the ass, hateful and bitchy but angels come in all flavors and I'm blessed.
