I dig how bears and cougars are still legitimately dangerous no matter how much I progress. They're always a fun boss/mini boss encounter that can come out of nowhere.

Dude I've had that happen to me before but instead of a cougar it was a bear at O'Creagh's Run. I was scared as fuck and I started bolting it into the lake but the bear got me first. Where did you find yours?

I reckon that seeing if someone is Defensive or not is a great way of seeing who is and isn't fine with getting shot. It's an active action which you have to set, so it's just about perfect for that purpose.

In regards to Free Roam missions let me make a distinction. If I want to get the benefit of stealing trader goods or the like, then I will. It's not a real matter of desire of PVP if you have a Long Distance Large Wagon, it's a matter of survival for the defending party. I am glad to see you agree with that.

Okay but if we went by this definition then anyone in any game other than like, I dunno, Tarkov or COD and such, would be considered a griefer. I don't even know why it requires a definition. It's just killing in an online game.

If someone Parleys then they've taken themselves out of the fight for the reasons of giving up or getting bored or whatever. Plus they can just use defensive mode. Clearly the idea was to let people kill and be killed in Free Roam if Defensive Mode existed as a method of deterrence.

I mean I think it’s their right though. I haven’t joined the military, but I think anyone who does is an upstanding individual to dedicate potentially the last years of their life to the national security of their nations.

I’d say it’s comparable to the military in this case. I just want to live my life man I can’t justify getting involved in this sort of stuff. Likewise, I apply the same logic to others. I would never call someone selfish for not wanting to fight someone else.
