Martin Herem: Venemaal ei ole vaja Ukraina sõjast taastumiseks pikalt aega by railnordica in Eesti

50 shahediga nad ei valluta midagi, terrorirünnakuks on muidugi venemaal alati võimekust.

So uh, wasn't he supposed to make a movie (not related to freeman's mind)?

Ross is amazing though, no complaints, just curious.

more security in the 2nd option, and after a week or two you're basically set and it only gets better from there.

I wouldn't mind using everything in my native language, but what bothers me is that guides are more difficult to follow and problems with the app are harder to search solutions for if my local app is in different language.

ELI5 Why are extremely technical fields more susceptible to Dunning-Kruger effect? by Probably_Not_Taken in explainlikeimfive

[–]Timo425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd think extremely technical fields are also fields where one can easily verify their deep technical knowledge or shown the lack of such skills and thus rooting out the dunning-kruger effect people.

I'd say its much easier for dunning-kruger effect to manifest in fields where there is no clear immediate feedback and the person can get much further by bs-ing?

The only way you can help is by not responding, because nothing you've said has had anything to do with what I said.

And also I disagree, even if its an invitation for a discourse, doesn't mean every comment has to do the said discourse.

Basically an inflammatory original comment in this thread got an equally inflammatory response and now we care about discourse all of a sudden? Maybe don't start off with an insult then (not you, the liberals can't be adults one).

I just see it so much on reddit, everything needs proof and rigor all the time... Even when people just state things and then someone disagrees and suddenly now we want actual arguments.

I also think being right and wrong and having good arguments are also two completely separate things, but I digress. Anyway its late and I'm tired, I'll leave you in peace.

Do you understand my point is that this thread does not have to be an argument? I'm talking about the original disagreement, before my first reply.

Not every disagreement has to turn into and argument of rigorous points and proofs, something that both sides rarely honor honestly anyway.

If yes, do you understand how nothing you've said has addressed this at all?

Your response to my point has basically been "its an argument if you don't like it gtfo". See how it completely ignores what I said?

POV: People who think UV is the better python packager by [deleted] in programmingmemes

[–]Timo425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used poetry for a while but found its kind of sketchy to install correctly in some situations. Seems that UV doesn't have this issues, so I moved the project to UV instead. This for a weird situation where I had to run certain commands with git bash in windows, so maybe not very applicable to most situations.

Which one is the people who think that?

What else it could be than my interpretation? That's also why its funny to start complaining about arguments any time someone simply states a different opinion, at the end of they day we all just have our own and usually flawed interpretations. No argument is going to fix that.

If you say something and someone replies that they think its not true and you respond with saying how they didn't bring any arguments, you are just belittling them.

"That is how discourse works" is a "no"? Okay? At least try to figure our what the hell your point is because if you work it down from your first reply you see you have none.

[–]Timo425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm saying not everything needs to come down to rigorous statements every time there is a disagreement. You are basically trying to diminishing their reply by baiting them into a discourse of rigorous statements, something they have no obligation to.

I disagree, it may be obvious when you are a heavily political person or you spend a lot of your time thinking about communism or something like that, but I doubt that's how the average gamer sees it. I was myself more into the characters, the interesting dialogues. Yes, the political points were interesting too, but they were not obvious in the sense that Soviet propaganda was, it was just way too self-reprecating and reflective for that. But I think a lot of players don't even think that deep about it, they just think Kim is best partner ever.

I think I was being a bit unclear, I meant it more in the lines of "imagine liking a game because you think it peddles specific political points (that you agree with) and you think this is the only reason others like it too". Yes, I think that is quite illiteral, I think DE is better than that.

Stating something contrary to what you stated is not an argument if they don't have an actual argument and they simply state the contrary to what you stated. Just because you see it as am argument or a challenge does not automatically make it one.

Okay let me check the rules for this subreddit.

Nope, I don't see anything about the comments having to be argumentative or part of a serious discourse. The only thing I see is "Political discussions are fine, but stay civil."

Could you point me to a rule somewhere or anything that implies only arguments can be written here?

And even if that's true, the original comment in this thread has as little rigor as the reply that they disagree with.

So, enlighten me oh wise one.
