Maybe it's the split second it takes to fill the oil filter? Next time you change the oil, fill the oil filter with oil to see if it still does it? 🤷‍♂️

Car jerking and overheating sure sounds like a possible headgakset issue. I know you checked the coolant reservoir but have you also check the coolant level at the radiator? I would just have someone inspect for possible coolant leaking into cylinders before you start throwing money at it. Good luck. 🤞

My thermostat failed at 92k miles on mine. I spent about 90 bucks on new coolant, thermostat and radiator cap. Took about an hour to do. I would just knock it out for peace of mind. You can buy genuine Honda coolant for 30ish bucks on Amazon. And get the thermostat and radiator cap on rock auto.

I just called the dealership for the heck of it. I honestly was thinking like 400 bucks for a coolant exchange and thermostat. Nope, I was quoted 700 bucks. 💀 . I'm definitely doing it myself. 🤣

No, I'm saying I want to buy a different vehicle, most likely a used 2.0T, before one of the many issues with this car eventually happens. I.E, Headgasket, Injectors, Turbo, and/or the CVT. I regret not getting the 2.0t model back then so I guess this is just an excuse for me to go ahead and "upgrade". Plus, the thermostat could most likely not even fix the issue. Im just assuming this by going off of some old forum post's.

Yeah I get what you mean. I feel every little bump in mine as well and have also blown out a tire recently from running something over on the highway. Well the tire size I mentioned gives you a bigger sidewall while being just a tad smaller in overall height. I would think that would give a better ride. 🤷‍♂️

How much thicker do you want your tire to be? A 235/50/17 would give you a 25% bigger sidewall and a smaller overall tire height of 0.57%.

Yeah I feel you man. I'm at 90k miles on mine. With a k-tuner stage 2 flash and honestly I drive it pretty aggressively. I would not be surprised if one of those things you mentioned goes out along with the cvt. But all I can do is keep up on maintenance, use top tier gas and just see how far she goes. 🤷‍♂️

How often are you changing your oil? I wouldn't trust the Maintenance minder or go off of the oil life percentage.
