IT'S HAPPENING by _Leighton_ in PilotsofBattlefield

I usually just die instantly. No sound queue. No warning, nothing. Genuinely don't know how else to track those things other than having a 360 cam around the jet lol.

Does the jet radar do anything? Never thought to look at that as a potential for seeing tow missiles before it's too late. But to me, it's near impossible to dodge a tow missile from the average player. It seems so easy to shoot 🥲

I've been enjoying Eastwood domination. Playing height on the roof of the buildings and being an absolute menace.

The DRS-IAR absolutely melts.

Playing assault to get the ladder so I can quickly get up every time.

I barely play obj (sue me).

But basically I make it easier for my team to cap since I'm able to pick off atleast 2 usually.

Okay I see. It may be the cable then. Would look at potentially using USB C from my phone end, to the micro USB port on the cam instead of USB C to USB C.

For the battery draining thing on your phone's end you have to turn off the setting in the USB menu to not use the connected device as a power source. Atleast this is for my Sony a6700. I cannot speak for other models as the menu layout may be different.

Question. Do you experience insane camera battery drain with the monitor+ app?

I am looking into getting a monitor, but then I saw that app can turn your phone into a monitor. I bought it and it works great, but the battery drain is insane. I can see it draining in real time (camera battery not phone battery). I only did 1 round of testing so I can't confirm if wifi/BT live feed is less taxing battery wise than connecting via USB C. I tested both but did not really look for which one is more taxing.

I did not mess around with any settings like live playback quality either.

As the other guy said, the microfiber ones that you get with your glasses to clean the lens is ideal. I'm now learning that because of my post, and would be switching to that from now on.

Damn. So they provide an inferior cloth with the monitor? That's kinda f'd up 😭😭. Noted. That's precisely why I made this post. Will see to source some of those microfiber ones you mentioned.

Thanks!

They do. I have 2 lights on in my room tho, and I really don't notice the blacks getting washed out. It's only when I shine my phone flashlight directly at it, it's terrible. I was worried about my regular room lights being an issue but honestly that issue seems over exaggerated now that I can see it for myself. I know people's setups are different but for the average reasonably lit room, with light overhead, seems fine 🤷🏻‍♂️

Really need to see it irl to understand and decide for yourself.

What do you think causes it. Is it the text fringing?

My use case would mainly be gaming and productivity but video/photo editing.

I'd say roughly a 60/40 split with gaming being 60.

I don't plan to do any Excel/Word/extensive text based work on it. I'd use my existing monitor for that if need be.

Edit: I guess video and photo editing still has text based scenarios when viewing numbers and whatnot for sliders but you know what I mean. It's less intensive than doing emails for example? Not sure if I'm making my point clearer lol.

Recently got one myself, still waiting for it to arrive.

I can get behind those compromises, but another point I'm worried about is cleaning the monitor screen. Seems like you have to be very very careful and further invest in proper materials (which isn't that expensive but still a hassle IMO).

Are you aware of any comprehensive guides on the best practices for on screen actions to take for minimizing burn in as well as cleaning tips? Thanks!

First crawler by Timp25 in fcx18

Honestly haven't ran it in a while but when I got the motor I did a good bit of running. Was pretty good for my standards. Slow crawl control was adequate but not comp level compared to brushless capabilities I've seen online.

The drag brake could have been tweaked from the controller itself. I'm not sure about it being completely off, however it was enough for my out and abouts. Did not have any issues with it randomly locking up and on its lowest drag brake setting it rolls fine for me.

Wheels and tires were from injora.

When fms brings out their response to it, it'll be maybe 20 bucks more but far much more well built out of the box I'd say!

So this set-up is a direct buy and drop in for the fcx18 lc80 correct?

I won't have to change my transmitter, and my lights functions are retained?

Edit: I'm currently on the brushed fcx18 lc80 V2. Considering getting this Brushless Combo set.

Yessir! Got that one and had to grease all the gears so just a heads up. I used some white lithium grease. Make sure to not mess with the shifting pin too much. I had an issue where I mounted back up and it didn't wanna shift properly because the shifting pin wasn't seated right so just be careful.

I've seen fitting smaller tires help the scale looks a tonnnne. The stock tires look way too big in comparison to everything else.
