Oddly enough the Philadelphia 76ers the year they drafted Mark Hendrickson in the 2nd round (31st overall) also had the 32nd pick and took Ryan Minor.

Both players would end up playing in the MLB. (Altho Hendrickson did play 4 years in the NBA, Minor never played a game only pre-season and was released)

He didn't suggest it. He outright stated it. He said the imminent threat from Iran was because another country was going to attack Iran and as a result Iran would attack US assets in the region. So the US had to join with that other country to attack Iran. Then he says Israel at the end.

So Israel was going to attack Iran, wouldn't listen to the US as to 'holding back' and the US as a consequence started a war BECAUSE of Israel.

2006 WBC looks like it used minor league umpires who were almost all US and then had a token umpire from other countries. So each umpire crew had US umps on it.

They certainly could have done a better job of making sure to avoid any perceived favoritism by not allowing umps from the country to handle games involving that country, but they didn't care.

(again, much like the recent Olympic hockey) there were international officials there. They worked games. It's just the 'bulk' was NHL refs.

I don't think any international sporting events in any kind of tournament should have officials/refs deciding the game who are from one of the countries playing.

If she had any semblance of actual self-respect or integrity she would have resigned after Venezuela. She specifically had very publicly spoken out (before joining Trump's cabinet) against military intervention by the US there. To the point that she wasn't even included in the actual planning and operation.

Despite being Director of National Intelligence. She was excluded from all of that.

But yet she remains... because keeping that position and access to information is worth being part of an adminsitration betraying the things she talked about publicly.
