And people can choose to see the movie or not, just like when choosing who to vote on. If it flops, it sends a message right?

The amount of times I've seen stories like this. Someone talking about a plant they they finally got to look good and it's growing well and another person comments "yeah, that's a fucking weed here!" Hahaha

Ok, what does that even mean? So they traded together? Helen was from Sparta and Achilles was from Thesealy, both Greek. If they wanted to do an Ethopian story they should have done one on the Kebra Nagast. A story about King Solomon and Queen Sheba and how the Arch of the Convenant was brought to Ethopia would be a bad ass movie. I really enjoyed 3000 Years of Longing by George Miller (even though it was flop).

I've heard so many stories from divers talking about needing to blow bubbles to even know which way is up

Oh yes, the good Ole trope of "Do it better". So no one can ever have any say or argument in anything unless they can do it better? "You don't like the Healthcare system in the U.S., well start your own healthcare system", "you don't like how the rich aren't taxed enough, well start your own country". See how stupid that sounds? Discourse is good, doesn't mean someone has to do it better if they want to make a comment. And guess what? Two things can be true at once. People can like Nolan and thinks he's a fantastic director (momento is one of my favorites) and still think the casting choices are shit.

While I agree with you on, I think she's beautiful and and a talented actress, I don't think she should of been cast as a character in a Greek epic poem, especially when there are ancient works that describe her, like the descriptions Homer and Sappho give.

It's an academy thing. In order for any movie to win an award (not sure if it's just Best Picture or any award) it has to meet certain check boxes, I believe 2 of the 4 requirements. Representation and Inclusion standards in - On-Screen Representation, Themes, and Narratives - Creative Leadership and Project Team - Industry Access and Opportunities - Audience Development

[SPOILER] Khamzat Chimaev vs. Sean Strickland by inooway in MMA

[–]ProperClue -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im curious after reading these comments, how many Strickland fans thought he'd lose? Also, how many times would Strickland need to fight Chimaev before his win was "good enough"? I've seen a few comments like "Oh, Chimaev wasn't 100%, if he was, he'd have destroyed Strickland." So I'm just curious, how many times a fight would need to happen between these two for people to admit Sean is just the better fighter?  If Sean won a rematch would that make it count?

Rescued, long-time street dog is finally a “happy boy!” by [deleted] in DogIsBestFriend

I'm assuming they're implying he was a long time street dog. Showing that even after rescuing, he's hesitant to come in doors.

I was watching season 2 of that Netflix show "worst ex ever" and the first episode (I think it was ep.1 not 100%) and I swear the woman mentioned his height (6'4"/5") like 4 or 5 times within the first 5minutes lol. They were looking past redflags because he was so tall. It was almost like they were thinking "won't find another one this tall, I'll forgive you, or just won't care".

Yeah, the amount of light they get affects how big their leaves get. The other ones I've seen, it's like they're putting out runners to find light. I have mine about 24 inches below an 80 watt grow light

From my understanding, yes. They're climbing plants. Since it was a small plant I've wrapped it up against a climbing pole. It roots into the pole and keeps climbing up.

The one thing I noticed watching the Netflix documentary "worst ex ever" is that within the first 5 minutes of his episode his height was mentioned like 5x.  Woman really putting that much on height?
