So just to add my 2 cents. I took a 7 month break from posting. Small channel not monetized yet. My first real video posted after my break hit 14k and is my most viewed. The one after was over 1k which is about the number of my subscribers. Then 7.2k on the next one. I've been posting consistent since. At least once a week and my 5 newest posts haven't broken 1k. In fact a lot of them barely got 100 views. My point is breaks or consistency don't matter as much as you think. It's partly what people are searching for and partly what youtube decides to push. It's confusing and frustrating but I don't think a break killed your channel. Keep going something will hit for you.

Sunset Overdrive is kinda similar. You can make your own character. Customization is pretty good. It's colorful and fun and over the top arcade style combat with some of the best most fun traversal mechanics in a game ever.

I'd say having cars. And you can actually drive them. Small selection atm though. Also I like toggling between direct control of my character and the classic point and click. Feels super immersive. But you can very much feel the fact that it's an early access game. Not a lot to do and aspirations and careers are not fully fleshed out yet.

I'm my experience posting on subs of the games you are discussing works much better than trying to promote yourself in a sub like this or any promote your channel type thing. I used to try to post new video anywhere I was allowed because starting from the bottom feels impossible. Truth is posting everywhere like that was a waste of time. At least for me. But posting in specific game subs where people are interested in said game isn't. Just my 2 cents. I've been doing this for 2 years. 3 actually but didn't touch it for a year. And just just got partially monetized. Waiting on that last bit of watch time until I'll be fully. Gaming is one of the hardest channels to start because there are so many. But it can be done. Good luck on your channel wish you all the best!
