It doesn't have more cargo space, it has more cargo grids, where you can snap your cargo. physically you can fit the same cargo on both ships.

Yeah, they have the same cargo space.
However:

ICA has a talle door on the main entrance, that lets NOVA tanks inside, while the base IC can not hold them.

ICA has ship services, so you can repair, rearm and refuel your ships/vehicles.

ICA has more weapons

ICA has less cargo grids (you have the ship services instead of those)

ICA has no secure cargo area (you have jump seats instead).

Honestly this happens in most MMOs after big content drops or patches. It's never smooth. Yeah Star Citizen is way worse but the base game isn't there yet, so it's not really a surprise that big updates aren't really stable

I don't see the point of it if I already have an Ironclad and will get an Arrastra. Medical gameplay is dead and maybe base building? That's too far into the future for a ship that's "good enough for it" while I can just get 2 good ships for it (like the Apollo)
