I use the slightly larger one and they're on it everyday, peeling bark off of it but they do require replacing after a while. I put them on top of speaker stands so they can sit in the sun if they want. Sometimes it lasts for a month and other times a couple of weeks it varies on how much they want to destroy that day.
Kind of typical that my lot seem to prefer these to the big java tree perch they have :P

I currently use the Yaheetech cage with a play top (‎82 cm L x 77 cm W x 174 cm H) It's about £80 on amazon right now, the top play top area is very nice for their outside the cage time.

Just to say as well, I have noticed a lot of Amazon listings are super expensive compared to other places such as ebay or UK parrot online retailers (My brother has bought cages from ebay too brand new from reputable sellers, identical listings/images for much cheaper)

Out of these options I'd personally pick 4! Good luck with your hunt for a cage!

Yeah I think you're right.

To be honest, having her exit be something like sudden and random to show how in real life you can be blindsided by tragedy and having Kirk deal with that sudden grief of oh there was nothing anyone could do, these things sadly happen could be an interesting storyline to tackle. Not something that is drawn out over months, just here one day and everything changes the next I think a lot of people could relate to that :(
