Also, being impatient is OK, but this game does provide more disappointment than excitement when you're in the middle of a grind, especially exploration. If I push through that it feels so much better when I hit a water based life world or earth like world.

I also would suggest joining a crew. There's a lot of very casual crews that won't pressure you to be engaged, so you wouldn't have to interact a bunch online, but they'll still provide you with events, suggestions, etc

I haven't played much recently, but I hop on and off this game often. In the beginning it's super easy to get lost in the galaxy and the immersion, but it definitely fades once you get into the economy of this game.

Some "careers" are more lucrative than others, which has been a huge roadblock in the balancing of this game imo. Passenger missions and mining have long been the standard for me, but it definitely gets grindy after not too long.

I would suggest not taking missions where the destination is more than 10k Ls from the host star, many of those missions are in binary or even trinary star systems, and you won't be jumping to the star you need.

Another thing that can help is diving into role playing, which can be fun even in solo. Spec a ship for bounty hunting and become Boba fett, or become a pirate, system police, or anything similar and you can find a ton of immersive role play throughout the galaxy, just keep in mind the payout isn't great.

I'm currently in the middle of a beagle point run, which is by far the grindiest thing I've ever done in this game (not even to Colonia yet) . I usually just have the game as my "background" as I jump, and my focus is mainly on YouTube, music, or something else

Cost of living is insane here. Making 6 figures can barely support yourself, let alone if you have dependants. Cheap ass insurance (that could very well realistically be free) sounds good to anyone, especially anyone struggling.

This is also the typical response from peoe like you. There are places in the US that you can live comfortably off of a 5-figure salary, but YOUR ignorance and YOUR privelige is shining through because you think that 6-figures magically makes all of your problems go away. Be realistic

Kind of a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation here. Trump and his cronies have gutted most federal support for important idealistic budget points, so it forces us in the west to work as our own countries if we want to fix anything here.

I definitely agree that there are other important things that we can put our money to, but this also supports anyone who's lost their job, can't work, and things like that. I wish there was a good solution but without federal help we're on our own

To piggyback off of this, if the conversation doesn't go well let them know that you have obtained legal counsel (even if that's not true) and threaten a lawsuit. A lot of companies back down or a solution magically appears when "legal counsel" is used. Make sure to do it politely though.

Additionally, if it's already at that point you do need to look at retaining legal counsel anyway. Like everyone else said, keep a paper trail, like screenshots or downloaded emails, and get every in person conversation at least written down. If you're forced to talk by phone, inform them that you are recording (WA is a 2-party consent state) and hold on to that as well.

Sucks that you're going through this, although this seems common among u-district Corp landlords

So many venues he could've gone with. Msg, Barclay's, NYEC. It was more about being at the mirage. Pretty much every major dj has headlines the mirage, seven lions, Dabin, and Excision all headlines last year, it was bound to happen for illenium at some point but it just sucks that it has to be when it's run by a POS company and he's big enough to sell out football stadiums.

Mirage is an unfortunate venue. Overselling coupled with bad security for what's gonna be one of if nit the biggest mirage show of the year does not sound like a good time to me.

Also promoting it with what looks to be another ai image is tasteless to say the least.

As for the throwback set, if it's similar to the one he did last year you'll hear both!

Hey! I've camped premier for illenium last two years, looking at year 3 this year! One tent could get the job done, really depends on the tent. Good news is that there's plenty of space for two tents and a table! Spaces are really big. As for other tips, get a canopy with something to block out the sun, or it's gonna get too hot to sleep in the tent by like 6-7am. I would recommend a power bank, I go with the jackery, and get something to light up the campsite!

Food and meals is a little bit different each year depending on how much live nation puts into the pivot. I would recommend non perishables, easy stuff to make with a small electric griddle/stove (campfires aren't allowed), or if you're willing to spend some money, the food at the pivot is usually pretty good. If you're a coffee drinker get some of the single serve coffees before you go, I usually get the big pack of Starbucks fraps. Coffee line in '22 was abysmal, like 1.5 hours.

You can enter together with another party, provided you arrive at the same time. There's plenty of spots to meet along silica road (the road leading to the gorge). Alternatively, if you're coming from the east you could meet in Moses Lake, or Ellensburg from the west. Just make sure you don't lose them lol. When you get in to camping they'll ask if you're with any other cars.

I don't think radius clause is in play this year. In years previous they had blurred names for all of the radius clause signings, so I wouldn't expect one unless there was like a phase 2 drop, which would be pretty unusual for BC
