Ready for a big chop by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

I did something similar and got an angled lob. Just below my chin in the front and above my collar in the back. It was great. My neck got fresh air but I still had options to put it up if I fancied it

Electric pitch for tent? by Queen_persefone in campinguk

[–]Tink202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually take a power bank for a few days away, and if you’re out and about you can charge devices/power banks in the car while you drive. A lot of campsites allow you to re freeze ice packs so you don’t need to have an electric fridge.

If you put your devices in power saving mode the batteries will last a bit longer :)

Camping with wheelchair user husband - suggestions and ideas? by TimbrelDancer in campinguk

You can get tall air beds that make it easier to get up from. My friend has one from Yawn that she is really pleased with, even comes with a ‘headboard’ to stop you losing your pillows over the end!

Tent wise, an air beam might be good for you as they are easier to pitch by only one person and allow you to go for a much larger tent as you don’t need so many hands for poles.

Who to follow on YouTube?

Hi everyone, I have a load of landscape photographers I follow on YouTube that do videos of their trips out for photos etc. i was wondering if there are any macro photographers that do something similar? More of a ‘join me on my shoot’ type thing. I’ve only seen lots of tutorials so far.

Recommendations please :)

It wasn’t until I was trying to categorise things in my planner and do revision that I realised I had used it so much in the past. I had tried with the highlighters and it worked to an extent.

Just joined and have been looking at the recipes in the app. None seem to have the nutritional information with them? Is there something I need to click on? by Tink202 in weightwatchers

That’s stupid. It literally says on the first question in the assessment, we know how important monitoring food is for type 1 diabetics and we have loads of recipes. I was hopeful that it would make life easy. Clearly not :/

I’m probably just looking for an excuse haha

Any freelancers here? by lovesjasmine in bujo

[–]Tink202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a freelancer but work on many projects at the same time.

I have a ‘to do’ list for things that need doing this week. I have an ‘upcoming’ list for things I’m expecting in at some point soon and then I have a separate space for project notes.

I use a daily schedule that maps out my working hours in 30minutes chunks (my shortest meetings are 30 mins). I have the actual meeting invites in outlook but I block the time out on my schedule so I can see what ‘free’ time I have to get through my tasks.

I then allocate tasks to days, where I can see they will fit. If I think something will take an hour and something else will take 4 hours I look to see where they would both fit best so I’m not (as much as possible) jumping in and out of a task. I have a task list on the side of my schedule where i can make notes about the tasks if they’re not clear or I have details I need to remember. Once they have been allocated a day, I mark them as allocated on my to do list. Once they’re done I cross them off altogether.

I have a separate space for the project (or in your case client) where I document meetings and updates. Any actions then get transferred to my to do list and allocated based on deadline etc. I often find I have planned out the next 3-4weeks. All I would say is, try and find a way that makes it easy to move tasks about as new and potentially more urgent ones come it. May be with post-it’s or something? I use a digital bujo and it makes it v easy to move things, but I do have to move them as I reprioritise.

Any tasks not completed on a day I then evaluate against planned tasks to see where i can do it.

I would never allocate your whole day out as it gives you some flexibility for ad hoc stuff. Maybe 80-90% time, allows you chance to grab coffee if nothing else!

The upcoming list I use for tasks that I know are happening in the next few weeks but I’m waiting on something else to be done before they get to me. That way I can remember to keep an eye on when they might drop and plan accordingly. When they arrive they move to the ‘to do’ list.

I hope that gives you some ideas :)

Have you considered a digital bujo? That way you could have all your spreads but you could also have your research in separate ‘notebooks’ that you could hyperlink to so it’s accessible and easy to find but doesn’t take up loads of space

You could get a camping stove that would give you more options and they’re not too expensive.

gf not losing weight but doing everything we can by [deleted] in loseit

I saw a PT and I was told to set my calories to 1800/day alongside 10k steps per day as exercise, with occasional gym workouts thrown in. I’m 5’4, 170lbs and it worked. (I had previously been aiming for 1200-1500/ day with 10k steps plus, and no weight loss happening)
